Welwyn Garden City 2 Ruislip Manor 0

Recommended Posts

Our worst performance for a few games. We looked disjointed in the first half and some poor defending gifted the home side two goals though they were good value for the lead. We showed a bit more enterprise in the second half but didn't really threaten the home glovesman and WGC always looked in control of the game.

Lato - You got back from Welwyn Garden City quickly, this post was made only an hour and a half after the game finished. Don't you hang around for a drink after games other than when you play Haringey Borough.

No and we didn't hang around after Haringey last week either (apart from away where we were kindly invited into the boardroom)

Why don't you hang around after games for a pint or two, I thought you were a sociable person. You'll be getting a reputation at this rate if you're not careful of being a wet blanket and stand offish.

Why don't you mind your own bloody business, clip Rods?

Any supporter (whether ex-committee member or not) has the right to decide whether or not to go to a particular game or what time to go home after a game. Just because you get deserved stick from an individual on this forum, it is not a reason to single them out and try to paint a reputation of them when you are patently not interested in asking the same question of anybody else who uses this forum so don't even go there.

Potters Bar Town - Your post puzzles me, I was only saying that Lato had got home from Welwyn Garden City early as it's quite a distance from West London where I believe he resides. He must have left right on the Referee's whistle and I was just curious as to what the rush to get back was that was all particularly as Herns Lane has excellent bar facilities and it's the ideal place to socialise in after games, if he's on medication than he could have had a coke or orange juice.

No reason to be puzzled by my post clip Rods, but plenty of people are puzzled by a lot of the stuff you post.

Why does it matter to you why Lato left early? If you look at your last but one post again, what you have actually done is accuse Lato of not being sociable because he didn't stop for a drink and then you start suggesting possible reputations for him that are only alive and kicking in your mind (RhodesWorld) and nowhere else. That's why I suggested you miind your own business.

okay rhodes to satisfy your curiousity and to fill out the Don Revie style dossier you are obviously compiling on me I will let you know the details.

1) it was a poor performance by Manor today so not in the mood to discuss the game afterwards

2) I got a lift to the game by another supporter who had to get back home quickly. Therefore I had to leave when he did, ergo (a foreign word do you understand what it means?) I got home early.

3) unless we specifically know people at the club we tend not to stay in the bar, tell me why we should?

In your second post you basically said I was an anti social person. Now I should like to point out to all and sundry that at the pre season game bewtween Ruislip Manor Reserves and Brazil (sorry Kentish Town) you spent the entire match standing by yourself behind one goal as far from other people as you could possibly get and often on the phone and did not talk to myself, the Saint or Spider. As promised I bought you a pint in the bar afterwards which you basically snatched out my hand and decamped to the other side of the bar and promptly glued your mobile to your ear to no doubt tell Gregg that you had a team of world beaters who were going to take the SSML1 by storm (we are all still waiting for that to happen).

Please refrain from telling me how to conduct myself post football matches and concentrate on slightly more important matters like issuing the FOUR (count them thats 1,2,3,4) apologies you should be giving to othe rmembers of this forum.

Lato - An amusing post and point taken, why didn't you just say in the first place that you got a lift to the game with another supporter who had to get back home quickly and I wouldn't have needed to jump to conclusions. I'm genuinely sorry that you performed poorly today, Herns Lane can often be a graveyard for opposing teams but it's not fair to take it out on me and bring up the legendary friendly again on 3 August, a date still etched, Rembrandt style, in my memory, I thanked you for the pint you kindly bought me and don't recall snatching it out of your hand, I will reciprocate when I next see you and will gladly buy Spidermanor, the Saint and Manorborn one too if they're with you.

rhodes, you are the only person who jumped to that conclusion. Like I said I don't have to justify my post match actions to anyone least of all a deluded twit like you. Now get on and write those apologies.

I'm sure a number of Forum members raised their eyebrows when they saw what time you posted yesterday evening, I was simply the only one who brought it up that's all. Anyway why did you switch your computer on as soon as you were inside the door and come on here, you could have chilled out and watched some tv first or cooked yourself some dinner, I assume you were hungry when you got home.

Yes but Colney Heath is just down the road from Hertford, there would be plenty of time for a couple of drinks after the proceedings and still be home for 6.00.

rhodes - i am more than slightly concerned that you are obsessed with my computer activity. Infact I am more than slightly concerned I am extremely worried.

However I suggest you spend less time looking at the time of my posts and more time looking at the content. Then we might have had those apologies by now instead of you doing your pathetic ostrich impersonation again.

You may think this is going to go away, well you are mistaken. As you can see I have added it to my signature because you seem to be ignoring the point as well of course reminding you every day. I am on holiday for a week from Friday and would it be too much to ask that you have written them by the time I return.

Lato - Well as long as I have clarified the position with Lambourne, the great Arthur Barker and Uduma by the time you get back from your travels watching Poland and as long as they verify that they were not treated appallingly at Grosvenor Vale then you will get your apology with pleasure, I fear however that this won't be the case. Anyway by the time you get back all hell will have broken loose and I will have far bigger fish to fry, Israel will have beaten England with Toto Temile having scored one or two and I doubt I will have a moments peace with the Worlds press knocking my door down in order to get to 'the great one', as you've seen I am already being bombarded by e-mail correspondence from all four corners of the globe.

Rhodes, you have had ample time to contact these people to get their side of the story. Have you even tried to contact them all directly (not just the dad of one of them)? I don't think anyone will forget.

You always seem to be very concerned about people posting things on the wrong threads etc. Maybe your posts about the England/Israel game would be better placed on the World Football forum.

you've had since November when Spider asked for an apology to clarify the position, the fact that you haven't suggests that there is nothing to clarify and you are just hoping it will go away. Unfortunately it doesn't work like that, so stop trying to divert attention away from it.
