You must be talking about Haringey and Hendon then as both you and I are fully aware that the arrangement with Potters Bar only carried an OPTION for a second year and the OPTION was clearly stated in black and white in the agreement signed by both Chairmen.

Incidentally, AWK isn't saying anything I haven't already said so there's no reason for you to be taken aback by it. I think you should consider yourself lucky that the SSML are allowing Kentish Town to see the season out, as appears to be the case. I suspect they're only doing so because they can't be bothered with all the hassle that goes with expunging a club's records.

This is another prime example of what I was talking about the other day and there being a question mark about you posting controversially on here once you sever ties with Potters Bar Town next month. Why on earth would the SSML not want us to see the season out, indeed we have received their undivided support and sympathy from day one due to the problems we have experienced with Claremont Road which we are extremely grateful for.

Because you do not meet the existing criteria for membership of it's Division 1 as you don't have a watertight, written groundshare agreement that enables you to play at a ground that meets the grading requirement (or, at least, Hendon FC don't believe you have). It would appear (and you haven't been able to prove otherwise, clip Rods) that the League were fooled into believing such an agreement existed when it didn't, hence the fact that it appeared as an agenda item in the League's Management Committee minutes. Is there not a League Rule that caters for Clubs to be expelled from their League under such circumstances? If I'm correct, it would need to go to a vote at an EGM but I don't think many Div 1 or Div 2 clubs would support the Kentish Town case.

Incidentally, clip Rods, before you get too far up your high horse, I am not making a point just because it's Kentish Town but I am totally against any club that uses underhand tactics or circumvents the Rules to gain an advantage over a majority who are playing things 'by the book'. I also hold the opinion that Boston United should never have been allowed into the Football League and the irony isn't lost on me (or, probably, many other fair-minded football supporters) that Boston could well be one of the teams to be relegated in the season when Dagenham & Redbridge appear odds-on certainties for promotion.

Well that's fine, I think you speak for all of us there but I hope you're not suggesting this is the case with Kentish Town, if so you can expect a Solicitors letter to be landing on your door mat before too long and incidentally we won't be using your local 'highly regarded' firm in Chingford.

I wouldn't even say it was underhand PB. It's blatently sticking two fingers up at the other clubs and I'm surprised the league stand for it.

So am I. In some respects the league are rigorous and very firm in the way they impose/interpret the rules. As most clubs will have experienced fines are handed out very quickly for relatively minor misdemeanours. In other ways the league are weak and indecisive, the lack of registered groundshare for Kentish Town would appear to be the latter - I am also suprised and concerned that the situation is being allowed to continue, at a guess its simply because they don't want to been seen to have to expunge a record at Step 6 this late in the season.

Well, in 11 days time, they'll be able to accept Kentish Town's "provisional" resignation from the league as "actual", and not have a problem to be indecisive about next season.

Is this provisional resignation retractable? If so what would KTFC have to have in place to stop themselves being relegated to Div 2?

Presumably a ground or groundshare which meets the grading requirements for Div 1. Don't see how they can play in Div 2 unless they get a ground or groundshare that meets the grading requirements for Div 2.

Hackney Marshes has a very good drainage system, and i hear there is a place for KTFC to play in the East London and Leyton League - Shall i get the ball rolling Rhodes? you might find yourself playing against the Dover Castle if you get promoted!
