Ridiculous as it might sound, I'm sure a few of the supporters' team would be more than happy to warm the bench for free. Might sound extremely Mickey Mouse, but can it really be worse than only being able to name two subs, one of which having ruled himself out for the season through injury? I've said it before but I find it amazing that we can't name a full bench when the likes of Hendon can, and get bloody good results away from home like they did yesterday. I also read in the paper that Daly wasn't fully fit, in addition to the injuries listed above.

The deadline for new signings is 31st March - plenty of time to get us all on Ryman forms! grin

Nice comment onthe Billericay forum that I think the players should take note of:

"Also, a word of praise to the Rebels players, who although clearly, for whatever reasons behind the scenes are clearly not up to Ryman premier standard, never resorted to foul tactics, conducted themselves in a thoroughly sporting manner and constantly tried to encourage each other however many goals were being shipped at the back. Other relegation threatened sides you can imagine would handle the occasion so differently..."

Its a good point Matt, I just think we should fill the bench and resort to whatever means necessary. When Haley eventually had to come off he was replaced by Rav. It was hardly like for like and good knows what formation we ended up playing. In my mind we had four full backs on the pitch and one centre half. Daly played with his knee strapped.

But hey there is always tonight's match against Boreham Wood to look forward to!!!!

Five very lucky deflected goals. We should have won. Their keeper had a blinder. I am in cloud cuckoo land.

I also wrote this after the Walton match and one of their five supporters questioned if it was bad grapes rather than irony. Can the Ricay supporters spot it?

Again from the Billericay forum "And the Slough team and fans, I can only echo whats been said, if ever they were to put a dictionary definition of what a football supporter should be, it should read: Slough Town Fans.

Good luck for the future and I hope we see you sooner rather than later."

Whole thread worth a read, just to give us something to cheer.
