'Ricay v. Slough

Recommended Posts

Time for some positive thoughts.

With Chelmo & Margate away at Folkestone & Staines, Bromley entertaining an in-form Hendon and H&R away at Tonbridge, a good result tomorrow plus some bananna skins elsewhere could see us move up a slot and consolidate our position nicely.

By all accounts a great new signing and Flacky returning from injury; it all bodes well. Much debate about Burbs but I'm sure he's looking forward to answering that on the pitch tommorow!

And some quality players to come off the bench if needed.

Talk of "chance to improve Goal Difference" can be seen as disrespectful of the oppo. I'm not disrespectful; I just want revenge for our early season defeat at their place. And I want it big time. Those 3 points lost were costly, so lets make it 4 points gained tomorrow; 3 for the win and a fourth by improved GD.

We know Slough are capable of the odd upset. They've done it against us & Swifts. But if we're as good as I think we are we need to twist that knife tommorow.

No mercy!

Just the points BC... a scrappy 1-0 and it's still worth 3 points

That's the way we're looking at our visit to Folkestone TC!

A good result. Just what the Doctor ordered. Sure, there were a lot more chances and near misses, but five zip will do.

The new man looked good in the half hour or so that he had. Some nice touches and he's bound to take a little time to settle in. But all in all an impressive debut.

Well done to the Sluff faithfull. Can't be easy watching that week after week. You did your club proud.

Good results elsewhere. Chelmo seem to be unable to perform on anything other than a bowling green grin Margate's problems continue and AFC & Bromley prove again that no ones's invincible at the moment.

Yes indeed Rick. It's currently my view that whilst the "usual suspects" for the title (the Clarets, Bromley, Margate, H & R, etc., etc.) keep dropping points, Ricay are cooly, calmly and systematically playing their way to the title. A few tricky away games yet to come though, but I have a feeling that your consistency over the past 3 months could well carry you through. And that is NOT intended to be an "attempt to lull you into complacency".
