WEFC reserves went to Staines last night and were defeated 3 - 1 in a hard-fought game. With such a stop-start season, the team were understandingly slow starters and went one behind after 12 minutes. The team soon found their feet though and played really well in the latter part of the first half. John Hempstead scored the equaliser from 15 yards after being set up by Ozie Foster. Their were more chances at both ends before the break. Another slow start in the 2nd half and sloppy defending saw the team go 3 - 1 down after 55 mins. Had a shot from Dave Case gone in rather than hit the post, things may have got interesting, but the team visibly tired the longer the game went on, and it finished 3 - 1. Although not a brilliant performance, the whole team gave 100% effort in only their 3rd game since November.

Team : Brooks;Spellman (Horder 65 mins);Tanfield;Woodcraft T;Rumbles;Wickson;Robertson;Edwards (Woodcraft J 70 mins);Case;Foster;Hempstead.
