Have to agree with SSS that Danny nes a bit of a shake up aswell.

 

I have no problem with the fact that he is not scoring, but what concerns me is the lack of work rate.

 

A poacher is fantastic al the time he is successfully poaching, but when that vein dries up; you need to be able to offer the team other qualities-bringing other players into the game .

I don't see too much of those positive alternative activities in Danny's game which is a bit one dimensional.Possibly why despite his obvious ability as a goal poacher, he has'nt really gone much further in the game,and why as you progress up the pyramid ,and defences become better,danny is less and less suited.

Meanwhile, he has done a fantastic job for us this season, and i,m sure wil end his barren patch soon.Just wish he could offer a bit more work rate though.

Think it also shows how we really should have tried to secure a third striker/reserve to 'give us something different''if things are'nt working out for Pinns and DH-which in fairess, the were never going to in every game

 

 

I've no doubt the goal scoring will come back-he is a fanastic goal poacher, but i still maintain that forget Main,Hockton and Boylan, that the best striker in this league is Ian Hodges of Hampton-has a much better all round game;scoring reasonably well, unsettling defences and making chances for others with knock downs

Steve Mckimm should be the Captain of the the club , i think out of all the players he is the person that most of the team look upto , it seems that since he has had his suspension the teams heads have dropped , but if he`s back on Saturday Trotty should give him the Armband and let him get are team back to winning ways. Up the Gate.

i think we should stop questioning a players ability and form. if he wasnt any good then RT wouldnt have bought him. its hard to play 100% every week, when you have a job a wife/girlfriend and a young child. we all know DH is a great player. and from time to time he is going to be a bit off, and the suspensions that have all come at once havent helped him or the rest of the team. if DH isnt playing well then the rest off the team arent doing well either. football is a team sport not a one-man sport. DH will be back to normal when the suspensions and injures are out of the way and the Guys start playing like a team again!! we should be backing every single team member not slaging them off because they had a bad game or 2.
