And this isn't intended as a dig at anyone who couldn't/didn't go. And I would def say I am the latter - I chose not to go.
End of.

Indeed - 'reason' was probably a more apt word than 'excuse'. My point was that since you have a wife and kids and so are far less able to get to away games than you used to be (which is completely understandable), it confuses me as to why you frequently offer forth individual reasons for not attending a certain away match, when you would be highly unlikely to have been going anyway.

No it isn't, we're enquiring why Gary feels the need to tell us why he isn't going to an away match. It doesn't make me a better fan that I go to away games.

How many f-ing times have we got to say this?

Then why mention it at all? I don't see the need to even reply to it. All it does is start a row.

Yeah I know what you mean. Gary says something, I ask why has he said that. Then someone else comes along and accusses me of saying I'm a better fan then him, when I've never once said that.

I didn't go to work today, it doesn't make my colleagues any better than me, I just booked holiday.

I didn't watch Eastenders last night, it doesn't make any of the people who did watch it better fans of Eastenders, I just decided to record it.

I missed Castaway the Last 24 hours last night, it doesn't make anybody else who did watch it any better fans of the show than me, I'm just a twat for forgetting to record it.

No not really Gary. McNiven took his goals well though, a class act and if he's unwanted by Morecambe and Stafford can't secure a deal then perhaps he is one we can look at.

We desperatly missed key players, but this is a squad game. Perhaps our squad is not yet big enough to sustain a serious play off push.

If McCarthy retires over the summer then getting his replacement in is the most important task for the manager. Goals can come from anywhere but clean sheets win points.

I say if he retires, hopefully he won't. I think that, going on what we've seen this season from him, that he may well be able last a few more. People were talking about Teddy Sherringham's retirement up to about five years ago and yet he's still going.

Rumours are that Charlie didn't travel with the team last night. Is he getting bored? Was he unfit? Or was he watching the Simpson's? I know what I think.

week in week out , its the same problems.

Mcarthy give a sense of security at the back where the slow lethargic James Smith gives a sense of insecurity.

Cronin does not seem to have improved at all , and the same fundamental goalkeeping mistakes are there as were at the start of the season.

Sodje didnt stop running , defending and getting involved all night. A performance that should warrant a start Saturday but more likley to result in him on the bench if Charlie is back , partnering the golden child Luke Moore , who has had two opportunities recently with Charlie out , to impress and stake a claim as the fleets number one striker for next year , yet failed on both occassions.

Quinn now seems to have stopped giving away free kicks in midfield for pushing an opponent while jumping , as he now doesnt jump and would rather position him self between the first ball and second ball contenders. After 90mins , he had an incredibly white pair of shorts which would be a good advert for DAZ. In fact , maybe we could swap him for Danny Baker (assuming the pint size cockney has an Irish Passport to warrant a constant place in the team)

I am now questioning whether we are actually full time or part time as it seems to me that the team performances of late are of no improvement from when we were part time , and turning up for a game less then 60mins before kick off is very unprofessional. What was everyone doing all day to warrant them arriving so late.

Yet again Daish failed to come over and acknowledge the small but regular away support.

There was one spare actually! (Gordon (aka Snake Champ wink ) made it full for about an hour on the way back, but he could have been kicked out and forced to catch the train tongue )
