Any opinions on who is going down this year?

Gets a bit boring reading about how great Edgeware are every week, so a thread on relegation is well overdue.

 

Assuming its 3 teams, my money is on Royston, Harringay and either Holmer Green or Colney Heath - predictable really considering the current league table.

 

Oh im sure Biggs Utd will be fine too btw ;-)

Yeh,3 in 2 games which is nice. Been hampered by groin trouble this year, so ive been out of form as a result. The sending off against you guys hasnt helped......after that game the guv signed 3 new strikers!!

Which means if i have a rest, i risk losing my place. Bummer!

Didnt know fellas like yrself kept an eye on goalscorers etc.

Think it may only be 2 down - how many was it last year?

 

I'm assuming the league will increase to 22 teams. With 2 down( any 2 of Haringey, Royson, Holmer & Colney Heath), and 2(max) up from the 1st div, that would leave space for 2 to come down from step 4 leagues (assuming only one gets promoted from the prem). At the moment Berko, Beaconsfield, Barton, Hanwell & Flackwell Heath could be looking to get relegated into our league. There isn't room for all of them.

You should be OK now - just keep knocking them in (except on 28th April). Was Weedon one of the new strikers? He's scored a few.

I add the scorer names to Mitoo, so saw your 2 goals this morning.

Anyone know what is happening with Aylesbury Vale? There was a rumour a while back that they are merging with Utd at the end of the season, but I've heard nothing for a while.

Hmm i didnt know Hanwell were struggling. Id like to see Barton Down, cant stand em. I reckon you guys migt have had it as far as promotion goes.

Jack Weedon, hes been at the club a while, left for a brief spell at Wootten, but came back.

 

Great player, guarantees at least one moment of magic a game.

Hes done a good job in my abcense!!!

The merger got announced locally with a lot of publicity. Since then both sides of fans on forums seem to be debating why not to go ahead. From reading comments Vale appear to have big debts which United do not wish to take on. Vale obviously have a ground (on a lease from the council) & Utd are sharing at Chesham as the ground is not up to Southern league standards. The ground is on a flood plain which causes various environmental issues & has stopped any improvements so far. There will need to be at least 1 stand built but no sure what else is required. I've not seen any kind of official announcement on the SSML league minutes about Vale withdrawing from the league yet though.

My money's on Holmer Green and Royston!

Royston's last 3 matches are all winnable Holmer (H) Kingsbury (A) then Haringey (H) but they do have the worst defense in the league

A few 6 pointers there then. Haringey and Holmer Green also have to play each other again. Royston are currently bottom of the form table.

With 8 matches at home & only 4 away Haringey have got a chance to climb off the bottom. 6 points from safety with 4 games in hand is not too bad a position.

Perhaps not but their best results come away from the hallowed Coles Park turf such as on Saturday at Grosvenor Vale and, dare I say it, at Tring earlier in the campaign.

From what the Biggles lads tell me, Royston are the worst team we've played. That was a while back, so not sure if personnel has changed at all to be fair.

 

Definitely a few tasty 6 pointers coming up!!

Or maybe just that after looking at table, recent form and remaining games he thinks they wont go down.

Hey they have more chance of playing Prem Div football next season than the KTFC Allstars. Think the KTFC Board need to take a hard look at their side and way it is run, if its full of all these League 1,2 Conference, Conf South and Ryman Prem players they shouldnt be where they are in the league!!!!!
