Anyone else been buying tickets for the upcoming under 21s match at the new Wembley and found the FA site to be utter crap?

I just got in there in time, 20mins before the queue closed!

Was you on the internet? I just clicked on buy tickets, waited 45mins and got them. This was at about 7.20.

Yep - site kept saying queue closed, then i'd get in the queue and it would crash. The phones were also either engaged or unobtainable.

The web site now says sold out

Never mind - maybe the Vase or Trophey may be played there.

They are both scheduled to be played there now I believe. Don't worry Paula, I shall take a picture for you!

Maybe next season we can do a bit better in the cups and even get to the FA Trophy final at Wembley.

 

I'm always amazed how at the time of 'exit' the cups don't matter, but then when it gets close to the finals,everyone wishes they were there.

 

Imagine if we were in the Wetview cup still even-apart from the minor problem of not having a pitch to play the gams on,we would have had an outlet to play 3/4 fringe players every game to provide fitness and experience.

 

Plus it would stimulate interest for the town and keep attendances up.

Our crowds dipped as soon as we exited the FAT and FAC.

 

Cups do matter imo

The 'queue' was closed from about 3:01pm .... I joined it about 6 times before I finally got to buy tickets at about 5pm.

 

You'd think they'd test these things (can you tell I'm a software tester?? )

The first hour of ticket sales created an unprecedented load on our internet site with tens of thousands of people queuing for tickets. Despite careful planning and testing, our queuing system was overwhelmed and many visitors experienced problems trying to get into the ticketing website.

 

The ticketing system was constantly selling tickets from 3pm until we were sold out at around 8.40pm. The ticketing system did not crash, but the queuing system failed in the early stages of the sale, and was not fault free until around half way through the sale. We apologise for the problems that many of you experienced yesterday and we will work to ensure these problems are limited for future ticket sales.

I am of the opinion if it did not fail for the first three hours tickets would have sold out before I managed to get mine!

Is it not nice that we have a Margate fan in billericay. After all with a signature of Once A Blue Always A Blue who else could you support Dan Sampford.
