Pitch for next season

Recommended Posts

Its good to see that Windsor have started to prepare the pitch for next season.

The addition of sand for drainage and ploughing in the existing grass ready for new seeding is going well.

The work on the damaged fencing is progressing and the practice pitch is nearly there.

Stag Meadow will be the best pitch in non-leauge and clubs will be flocking to play there and will pay a premium to ground share.

Well done Windsor!

Having read the ongoing bitching about Windsor's pitch and the constant regurgitation of the same thing by SR i do wonder what any Slough fan or official actually thought the pitch would be like. It has always suffered with a little bit of rain (and we have had more than a little bit of rain), and then suffered when there is a bit of sun (this will no longer be an issue with the new sprinkler system), it was never wembley but it appears the Slough buffons who come on here and whinge about it seem to have expected a perfect paying surface. maybe they should happy just to have any surface to play on (or maybe not considering their season so far). I take it you are aware we play in the BGB SW Div1 (or something similar) and not the Premiership so a bowling green is not to be expected. Oh well, see you next season as well, 'cos unless the council buy you a spanking new ground (HA!HA!HA) you'll be back to the best option you've got, and you know it.

Its nice to see in preparation for next season you are doing what? to return home?

Work on the stand which was described in the press as "now dangerous" is non existant.

Slough FC were quoted as saying "the council has yet to approach us about a return to the ground" as obviously they can't pick up the phone and be pro-active.

But they are hopeful for a return in the short to medium term future.... well hope dies last eh?

Who are you anon? are you anon or anon or anon?

Anon your comments are very brave when you dont even have the guts to put your name to your comments!

You may knock what I say but it does not change the fact that the pitch is $hit.

The only reason games are being played on it now are the massive backlog of games and in normal circumstances the pitch would be classed as not fit.

Looks like your contractors have some idear about preparing a pitch - at long last a flat dry pitch with evenish bounce - why could they have not left it in the $hit state and we might have got a draw! wink

And yes Desmond Tutu did find my name strange, but I asked why he was named after a ballet dress? - strange old world bugeyes
