can anyone else see the No on the back of 7's shirt (a foto taken from 60 yeards distance) apparently the ryman league visitors on saturday have reported us for not having clearly identifiable numerals on our shirts...

 

now seeing as tho' we have had the same shirts and lettering for the past 5 years does this mean that we are to be stripped of all points gained in that period and thrown out of every competition we have won....

Aren't you supposed to have a plain box on the back of striped shirts to put the numbers on - as the Arlesey shirts have a plain box on the back as can be seen in the photo.

using inter milan as an example, they just have there numbers and lettering in white, exactly the same as us with no box.

I think we should use Roman Numerals on the back of our shirts. That would be very distinctive.

 

MoTD had no trouble identifying our players in the Tranmere game!

I've just been looking in the FA rules and can find nothing about striped shirts and numbers, it just says they should be clearly legible and positioned in the centre of the back - was interested as we were planning to wear stripes next season (changed our minds now)

Thanks - I don't often stray from the SSML forum.

When the river bank goes there's nothing we can do about it - Oct 2000 it was under 3 feet of water. The pitch was verti-drained a couple of years ago, so is better than it was - drains a lot quicker now.

Seems rather heavy handed to report us. Surely it would be more sensible to bring any transgressions to our attention (a kind word in our ear) and then if not acted upon then they could report us.
