We have always tried to avoid posting controversial incidents etc. for obvious reasons.

I suppose the Vinny disallowed goal against Trani was the exception but I trust you will appreciate the reasons.

Other clubs might show them and I can think of at least one but not really our style.

I think that is why diggsy and others wanted to see it...(me too)...as I understand it the ref blew for full time as the ball went into the net but others say a free kick was given....

The Ref did indeed blow up immediately before the goal was "scored" but it was not the full time whistle. A free kick ensued and play ended some seconds later. That is my recollection anyway.

I never thought that it was controversial, as the goal was not given. To have allowed it may have caused more controversy. I just wanted a second look.

someone handled it. couldn't be sure who.

 

the ref didn't give any handball decisions all day, so it probably wasn't that.

It was almost on the final whistle - the ball was played out to Ainsley on the right wing. He raced down the right wing and fired the ball over into the middle, where it was crashed into the net, just as the lineman raised his flag. No idea why it was disallowed, and considering the packed penalty area, it could hardly be offside.

looks like a perfectly good simon parker winning goal to me....admittedly our no 7 is helping the defender straighten his shirt but hardly interfering with play are they...?
