Probably not Gav, especially Hertford if they continue to play like they have over the last couple of games.

Do you reckon playing the previous Thursday affected your performance on Saturday?

..
No, because a lot of players were rested and a squad side played against Aston Clinton. However, I do think the number of postponements have not done us any favours, with training having to be cancelled, and players phsyced up for a match then to be told its called off.

I am not overly confident about the match tomorrow, but I have to for a home win a draw however would not be the end of the world, but a defeat would be a real blow specially after losing on Saturday

as alot of people on here have been saying all season 'Its a Marathon and not a sprint'

..

Very true, I would say without a doubt that tomorrow nights match with Harefield is our biggest of the season. If we start slow we could get beat, we HAVE to start from the first whisltle.

Might not get away with that... first whistle is usually ref summoning the captains up for the toss!

Serious question say Harefield caught Edgware and won the division and as mentioned elsewhere they havent applied for promotion. Would we see no teams promoted from this league? There are only 12 spots supposedly available to 15 leagues I seem to recall, and I would imagine the 1st leagues to miss out on a promotion spot would be those where the Champions didnt apply?

Or am I well off the mark?

There should have been a penalty though. The handball, for which a free kick was awarded outside the box, certainly appeared to have taken place well inside. Perhaps the referee still hasn't brushed up on the laws of the game regarding penalties and simply does not award them anymore, just in case something goes wrong again?!

In this case the league would nominate the 2nd placed team for promotion. It's only 14 step 5 leagues now there's no Ryman Two. Plus, only 10 places available.

Our subs definitely thought it was inside - they were warming up next to the linesman. It would be interesting to see how many pens that ref has given since the Edgware incident!

IF Harefield won the league having not applied for promotion, then dependent on what teams were promoted from other leagues the second placed team if they have applied could well be promoted.

A lot depends on the ground gradings, and the grounds will be asscesed by the end of this month, work is already underway at Edgware, moving the pitch, and moving the dugouts to the far side terrace, as well as new fencing and work on the banking to create extra room for throws/corners.

Still means 4 teams winning a division wont actually get promoted and would imagine that the leagues that Champions dont take promotion would be the 1st to go??

There are a few leagues where the Champion elect clubs have not applied for promotion. According to Tony K, this is the position at the moment:

#The top club from the step 5 leagues (7 clubs)

* Brentwood Town (ESL), Chipstead (CCL), Edgware Town (SSML), Bridgwater Town (WL), Whitstable Town (KL), Leamington (MFA) & North Leigh (HL)

#The 2nd placed clubs from the step 5 leagues not providing a 1st placed club (3 clubs)

* Eastbourne Town (SxL), Wellingborough Town (UCL) & Gosport Borough (WxL)

Who is reffing the game tomorrow night? Anyone know? There was a rumour last week that Tim Donnellan might ref it but he's now running the line in our game against Harlow Town. If it was down to me, I'd put John Scott in charge of this game.

The ref for the game is Rob Hodges, Mr Turner had to cancel.

I am sure the officials will be briefed as to what happened in the previous match, as well as the cup match when it all kicked off afterwards between both sets of players.

Isn't he the ref who sent Ryan Redford off just for looking handsome?
