Pitch Conditions

Hi all,

 

I'm making the trip up from Southampton this weekend for the game - can anyone give me an update on how the pitch is holding out, as last time it was a wasted trip

Weather is good at the mo, rained last night, I would say that if the rain holds off the game will be on. To be on the safe side best have a back up plan of doing something else

I'm down visiting family anyway, it's just frustrating lining it up with a Gate game only to see it called off

Pitch is looking Ok. Infact a bit of watering before the match may be required if the today and tomorrow continue with this sunshine.

Sure is looking good Joseba.

The outer areas of the pitch are actually quite "hard". However the further you walk in,towards the centre & in particular the kick-off spot,the more it gives underfoot.That central area,having said that is so much better than it has been for a while now.We just have to try to avoid that part as best we can.The game would be playable,I believe,in its current state,(mind you I thought that about Tuesdays game too).

Fingers crossed that the rain dosent arrive as forecast tonight..I think we could survive a few small showers but anything more than that & we could end up back at square one again.

But yes,as Joseba says it is looking much much better tonight than it has been.

All set up for tonight. Horses,Camels,Ad game(just for smart [****!!****] Frankie l.o.l...Yes this one will stump him!!)

Might even hear & see some golden oldies too(music that is,along with Alan & myself of course)

If people are at a loose end tonight please try & get along. Hopefully it will be fun. Doors open 7pm. 1st race planned for 7-45Pm.
