I'm sorry but I wasn't overly impressed by Stony Stratford Town when we played them earlier in the season, okay they beat us at their place but we equalised and had the lions share of the play for long periods before they got a fortunate goal through an error by our keeper and went on to win 3-1. They are a physical side but don't like it up em to coin a Dad's Army phrase and teams playing them at their own game.

Only on Rhodesworld can a defeat be presented is such a positive way- the point being made is that beating Premiership sides Broxbourne Borough, Hertford Town and then Ruislip Manor is pretty special!

Fair play to Stony Startford, they fully deserve their place in the final having KO'd FOUR Premier sides! IF we beat Amersham it wont be an easy final by any means. If Amersham beat us its an all div 1 final! has that ever happened before, or have a div 1 side ever won it before?

Disappointing result for us and really we should have had the game sewn up by half time but possession doesn't win you a game of football. Stony played a lot better in the second half, scored some great goals, worked hard, played some good football and rode their luck to secure a great win for them. Yes I'm disappointed as are all Manor fans but we wish them well in the final and will of course be there to see it.

As pointed out any team that beats four teams from a division above (at least two on their own ground) deserves a place in the final. Funny how a certain Division One club official can't be so appreciative of them thouygh isn't it.

Would have thought he'd be shouting it from the rooftops!

Where did I say that we gave as good as we got at Ostlers Lane earlier in the season, I said no such thing, I said that Stony Stratford don't like teams playing them at their own game and you will find that in their two league defeats this season at home to Ampthill Town and at Amersham Town that was very much the case. We are due to play them at home in the final game of the campaign on 21 April and I'm pretty sure they will be burnt out by then and will roll over tamely.

So they'll be at home then? They'll murder you.

We don't want to play the game at Ostlers Way on 21 April as we got caught out last time by the walk from the dressing room to the pitch, our players could barely put one foot in front of the other by the time they got to the pitch whereas Stony Stratford must send their players on SAS style assault courses particularly bearing in mind the number of games they've played this season in cup competitions.

No good going for promotion then as you won't want to play at Holmer Green next season.
