Has no one at the club thought of Investing money in shares/fixed interest bonds or safe financial products generating a guaranteed income?? It makes sense, and I know for a fact other clubs do it.

Doesn't have to be a large amount, but at the end of the day unless GNFC wins the lottery, gala bingo!, etc., the clubs not going to have a sure fire way of bringing in more money than it already does?? If anyone would like to take it further, then just reply to this message or PM me....

Smug fool, it was a suggestion. Judging by the clubs penny pinching attitude & Ethiopian Famine esq money appeals(pledges), I'd say it wasn't totally covered or thriving, would you??

Cheeses , the smug fool you refer to is our webmeister and long time investor in the Fleet .

Not withstanding that , and I suppose the fact that he too is an accountant , what spare funds exist to invest ?

As a penalty for your comments may I suggest you invest say £500 in the player pledge account to cover spending over budget this season .

In all seriousness, the investment plans you are speaking of do not have immidiate profit returns.

Plans of this nature may take years to show produce any dividend, so therefore, how do you know the club doesnt have any already??

If it was as simple as put some money in today, collect double that amount tomorrow, dont you think everyone would do it????

Actually, forget my comments, I dont even know why I wasted the energy replying!!!
