No excuses really other than the fact that we had a virtual Reserve team out and no recognised centre forward yet still gave 'the mighty' Brimsdown Rovers a decent game. The score flattered them and at only 2-1 at the break there was still everything to play for until they extended that lead on 55 minutes which gave them a much needed cushion. We almost scored the fastest goal in football history when straight from the kick off Thomas Looney lobbed the keeper who just managed to scramble back to grab the ball before it entered the net, now that would have been something to talk about. There's no doubt Brimsdown are a good side and have a huge squad unlike ourselves however they are no Worldbeaters and readily admit they are constantly looking over their shoulders at Ampthill Town, Cockfosters, ourselves and in particular Stony Stratford Town who they have yet to meet this term.

Rhodes, could it be this game was deliberately arranged at the same time as Arsenal playing at home in the champions league.... knowing that your players have chosen Arsenal over Kentish Town in the past?

Given the following

a) your previous comments on such matters

B) you played a virtual reserve team

c) you had no centre forward

d) the scoreline flattered Brimsdown

e) KTFC almost scored 'the quickest goal in football history"

f) you don't have a big squad

g) that Brismdown are 6 points AHEAD of you with 3 games in hand

h) Brimsdown have scored 12 goals v KTFC in three games this season.

Do you think this qualifies as result of the week nay season as I certainly do!

Lato - Well that's exactly how it was, ask Potters Bar Town's 'friend' to confirm it. I notice that his 'friend' didn't comment on the lob from Looney a second into the game, that made Pele's miss in Mexico '70 against the Czech's seem tame, although he no doubt turned up late and missed it, I remember an old boy of about 80 wandering in at 7.50 looking pleased with himself as he had saved £3 so it was probably him.

Yes that's exactly what I said but you missed 'it' off the end of your sentence. Was it the 80 year old bloke that wandered in about 7.50 on Wednesday, I remember most of the people I sold a programme to so if not I would probably be able to work out who your so called friend is.

I meant to ask before but is that KTFC player's name a tribute rhodes?

Lato - No but it's quite a unique name isn't it, it's not exactly a Smith or Jones which is yet another string to the Kentish Town bow, what other team has a player called Looney in it and certainly someone of his quality. If he had scored that goal on Wednesday night straight from the kick off I would have winged a copy straight off to Helen and Tim at Soccer AM as Brimsdown filmed the game, fair play to them as they don't do things by halves.

Yes he was on the squad list they supplied for the programme on Wednesday but didn't play, I prefer Looney though. Can you imagine the stick these poor guys took as school from their friends and you wonder where these strange names originate from, it's probably best to just to have a boring uncontroversial name at the end of the day like, as I say, Smith or Jones.

so basically rhodes, after saying that the poor lad must have suffered stick at school because of his name, you are prepared to utilise that name to get a cheap laugh and hope to get publicity for KTFC.

That sums you up really.

Lato - No not at all, you are putting words into my mouth, I'm just saying that Helen and Tim would have probably made something of his unusual name knowing them as they are into taking the mickey and it's basically a tongue in cheek programme not to be taken that seriously.
