Having drawn comparisons between our guys and the youngsters at the Emirates on a few occasions this year, let's hope our season doesn't go the same way was theirs is.

 

They have thousands of chances a game and don't kill teams off, as do we, if Stafford and last night are anything to go by.

 

They have a habit of doing well against teams they should struggle against (Blackburn away in the league, Liverpool at home etc) and so do we (Exeter away, Kidderminster away).

 

They have numerous, clearly capable young players who promise so much and often deliver, but sometimes have seriously off-games.

 

They've lifted themselves into a position which seemed in jeopardy at the start of the season, and we've surprised everyone with our play-off surge.

 

And now, Arsenal have lost the league cup final and crashed out of the FA and European cups. We went out of the trophy and have stuttered in the league. Let's just hope that, like Arsenal, we can hold our own in the league and get to the lofty heights we have seemed capable of this season.
