Perhaps the author got fed up waiting for a Fleet substitution last night.

I know I and all around me did.

At 1-2 we never, ever looked likely to comeback, all the time we stuck to our same old, tired, sussed out, tactically inept 3-5-2.

it was as though we had been hit by a train! At 1 nil we were cruising and didnt take our chances. They scored two quick break away goals and we were still all over them but couldnt score. Then we seemed to give up as pointed out by my dad who hasnt been in over 7 years and has no connection/biased with players etc.

 

needless to say he said he wont be rushing back!

As I posted on another thread, Richard -it was their double tactical substitution at half time that did us. It worked for them and we took 25-30 minutes to realise what they had done. By then it was too late.

I have never known a club/manager take so long to make a substitution.

 

Both Ledgister and Sodje had to get changed into their shirts before they could get on, losing what could have been valuable seconds.

 

I'm not sure exactly why Ledgister even came on though, he immediately went wide on the right and from the moment he came on the ball stayed almost permanantly on the left.

 

Quite clearly what was needed considerably earlier was someone to come on and cover the gaping great holes that had appeared in our defence on the Weymouth left (our right) which led to the 1st. and 2nd. goals.

Er...... I thought the 2nd goal came from their right (our left) after Sasha lost a tackle.

 

And as for waiting while the subs put their shirts on?
