non Smoking ?

Spot the difference between apologists for the tobacco industry, which undoubtedly causes so much death and disease around the world, and who ignore the real risks of passive smoking (such as CoE (I'm alright Jack, but ignore everyone else as long as I can get my fix)and Hirsty (a non-smoker who apparently doesn't care about himself or others being slowly killed by this deathly habit -but would he care if it was his children who were made ill?))and:-

 

1. Flat-Earthers.

2. Denial of the Holocaust.

 

I do not doubt, given the addictive nature of tobacco, that it can be a challenge to give up the habit, but the lack of consideration for others who don't smoke ( ie the majority) shown by the fag smoking supporters featured here, is truly worrying and bordering on amoral.

 

In my experience (considerable) a large number of smokers will blame any ill-health on anything except the obvious - that it is smoking that is making them/their loved ones ill. An unpalatable fact for them, but one which on this National Non-Smoking Day is deathly serious for everyone else.

 

Oh, and what exactly is the attraction of the most unpleasant stink that many smokers carry with them on their clothes etc? Haven't they ever wondered why they have become 21st century pariahs?

I'm well against second hand smoke. I smoked for years and all those people were getting my smoke for free!! Someone should have bought me a pack once a month or something.

If you read my original statement, I was not against banning it in the majority of places, but questioned a blanket ban. Then those who want to smoke in a designated smoking pub, including staff, can do so. Those who did not want this could drink in the majority of the non smoking pubs. That is my opinion, thanks for yours.....you should be in politics !

 

I doubt if I will die of the effects of cigarrette smoke. More probably from the effects of too much diary produce, too much apple juice ,or maybe one of the many other items that are considered bad for you.......even a rogue Bootiful turkey !!

I can't quite work out why you can't smoke in an area designated by adults who have a choice where they are, but can smoke at home in front of the kids, who have no choice
