Player Approaches

Hi Guys,

I dont make a habit of coming onto other teams forums but just wanted the low down on 2 players that our manager and left back were talking about on saturday....one is tansfield and the other Dolan, apparently we,Uxbridge, our interested in both of these players. We have a strong Ex basingstoke link & both of these played for them. Are they any good? And will they strengthen us.

By the way am really looking forward to playing you guys soon, have heard some encouraging things about the way you play football. Good luck for the rest of the season!

Tanners looked sharp at pre season can play wide r or l, but has been overlooked until recently when manager sits him on bench until 5 mins from end. has shown loyalty to club he was asked to play for by SL from bracknell i think. when all fit he will b back on terraces.

Dolan could be a decent player if he turned up for each game.drifts and wanders to much for me,terrific shot on occasions. poor at tracking back and realise on edge and coyny covering for him.

my pick for best player at present would be edge or chennels

We desperately need a creative midfielder at Uxbridge and if Dolan has a decent shot that bodes well. He has played alot of games for you though do you think he would come.

I see Tanfield doesnt play much so i suppose he'll come for the regular football.

Thanks for the replies, as i said i look forward to coming to stag meadow later in the year

So if either of them suddenly up and leave and sign for Uxbridge the evidence of an illegal approach is on this forum for all at the FA to see and seeing as how you can only do one 7-day approach to a club every 28 days and registrations finish on March 31st I think you will have your work cut out!

I'm not convinced an anonymous posting on a public forum constitutes "evidence" but doubtless if they did up and leave pursuing the matter through the FA would be your top priority.

Um, 2nd hand queries from someone claiming to be a fan of another team on a web BB probably don't make an illegal approach.

A fan asking about some goss he heard and wanting to find out more, yes. Most of us here might do the same if we heard a name from another club mentioned: at least, we'd maybe go look at their site and see if there were any mentions, when they'd played/scored, got carded etc.

But I don't think we should read more into it.
