Midfield next game ? ( is Jay wasted on the right

Not sure when next game will be as Tuesday looks a washout after todays rain ,and i suspect even saturday must be in doubt.

Either way, i think i'm right that Protheroe,Standen and McKimm are all suspended for when ever the next game is.Abbo injured so midfield looks a bit thin to say the least. !!

Who will midfield be:

I would bring Oates to right wing with Smith behind him; but RT does not seem to favour this.

My midfield would be:

Oates Saunders,Pinnock Jackson.

with Bagley to partner Hockton up front.

I suspect RT will play :

Saunders Wisker Jackson,, Bagley.

In fairness, that does not look too bad;and maybe Danny Wisker can give us a bit of 'freshness'.

I thought our 'experienced' midfield looked rather stale on saturday.

I also think that with Jay playing fairly wide, we are not getting the best out of him.He is not involved as much as he could be if he played more centrally and is too good a player not to be maximising his impact.

I reckon tomorrow against Boreham Wood , it will be

Saunders, Wisker,JJ,Bagley ;

but would prefer:

Oates,Saunders,Pinnock,JJ

with Bagley up front to add mobility, movement and a bit of pace, alongside DH who does seem a bit out of salts and lacking movement in recent games.

I think Hockton and Bagley up front could be quite effective, and i really do think that RT needs to do something a bit different and refressh things, as sides now know exactly how DH and JP play so they are a bit less effective these days.

Bagley could provide a bit of the missing spark .

Either way, not too bad a midfield on paper anyway,so what are we worried about.

It dawned on me last night that two years ago we were getting by with Benevides and Shambles in midfield in conf. south, and either of those combinations above are light years ahead of that midfield.

(last year we had the delights of Baxter,Burke,Knight and despite his wonder goals, Sacha in midfield ,so again, why are we worried ).

Answering my own question, i guess we are worried because tomorrow really is a 'must win' result, but have a feeling we will scrape through, and that the midfield will do ok.
