Kidderminster Today

Recommended Posts

If Ronnie Biggs had pulled off this robbery , phil colins would make a film of this and not the train robbery.

We did not deserve anything from this game. kidderminster were the better team start to finish and despite taking the lead , we were never in control off this game.

The second half got worse and worse for us with more and more pressure from a physically strong team.

The introduction of Sodje gave us someone who could hold the ball up and hopefully hold on for a draw , but when in the late stages of the game Sodje went through and pased a ball past the massive (7ft 6 according to one person on minibus) keeper the whole game seemed to go into slow motion until we saw the net bulge.

This robbery by the fleet was as close as you can get in football to buying a washing machine including installation from currys and having to plumb it yourself.

I'll take 3 points over an outstanding performance any day - its swings & roundabouts - we outplayed Stevenage at home, but only got a point and should have had all 3 points at Woking, but got 1, so today offsets one of those.

Of 8 sides with some hope of a play off slot, I cant quite see Aldershot making up the ground at this stage, especially as their remang fixtures include Morecambe, ourselves & Daggers away.

York could actually fall away - Stevenage, Rushden, Oxford and ourselves at home, plus EXeter, Aldershot & Burton away certainly doesnt give them an easy batch of games.

Burton also have a few tough games - Crawley, Kiddy, Oxford & us away, plus Morecambe, York & Rushden at home.

Exeter have Aldershot, Crawley & Stevenage away, plus Morecambe & York at home, but otherwise have a resonable looking set of fixtures. They along with Morecambe, Oxford & Stevenage look the biggest threats to us. I think Oxford should make the play offs with a pretty comfortable looking run in, which would leave us needing to see off one of Exeter, Morecambe & Stevenage (most likely the latter?) to make the play offs.

All I can say is how many times do you see this happen!!!! A win is a win and there will be lots of twists are turns to come before the end of the season. If you hang in sometimes you get rewards which you don't really deserve. So all credit to the Fleet for battling to another 3 points. Hopefully a home win on Tuesday will keep the ball rolling.
