St Margaretsbury 0 Ruislip Manor 2

Recommended Posts

A goal at the start of each half gave us an in the end comfortable win at Station Road. We took an early lead through Anthony Page with the sort of goal that if a Kentish Town player had scored it we would be hearing about for weeks. St Margaretsbury looked threatening going forward and it was nip and tuck through an even first half. However, the home side seemed to lose heart somewhat after what would have been an equaliser just before half time was disallowed. It was difficult to see from the other end but the assistants flag went up for offside although the scorer appeared to be behind the ball that was pulled back or that was certainly what the home players thought. Chris Henry scored a trademark goal three minutes into the second half and that was really it. St Mags hit the crossbar near the end and had one cleared off the line but we could have scored more and were in the end good value for the win.
