Just got back from the match.

First half we probably shaded with some good attempts at goal. They had the more shots, but most of them were from free-kicks that should never have been, and Lance dealt with them easily. The formation worked well and fair play to Liam, his tactics were spot-on.

The second half we seemed to panic, we gave away a free-kick and headed it out for a corner, which they scored a decent over head kick from. From then on they were pressuring us into mistakes, Lance's kicking wasn't the best today (in fact he was booked in the first half for hacking down their player after losing the ball!). I know most people who saw the match will disagree but I thought Lance had a good game, the only problem was, the things he didn't do well he didn't do at all well!

Daish had a master-stroke in bringing on Sodje, their defence were mopping up the long balls easily. Varney looked too tired and lacking fitness to cause much trouble.

Sodje did brilliantly well to score after tackling a defender and knocking it past a very good keeper in my opinion.

M.O.M today was any of: Stacy Long, Rob Quinn or John Keeling.

Agree with most of that, Superb. I thought the first half was pretty even but if Kiddy could shot then the scoreline would have been different at half time, and at fall time we would have been hammered.

Credit where credit is due though. We battled hard, kept ourselves in it and managed to still be in the game when Sodjes chance came and he showed great strength to put it away well.

Daish seems to have developed some sort of seige mentallity within the team who hopefully now realise it's down to them. Everybody else has done all the work, along with themselves to get into the position in the first place, and all that matters now is what they do on the pitch. They are good enough and they can do it, one or two have a little lack of confidence in their ability when they can clearly do it.

My man of the match was Sacha Opinel. He was slightly played out of position today but coped well enough. Their number 15 got a little too much freedom but Sacha just about kept control.

As for my accumulator had Stenhousemuir not let me down then I would have won about £300, as it was though I won about £150. Ho hum.
