What will our final league position be ?

Three quarters of way through the season, where does everyone now think we will finish in the league.

 

Personally, i'm opting for 5th; which is a good effoert imo ;and betters my pre-season thoughts of 7th.

 

Have to say that with our thin squad, no.of games to be played, i can see no chance of 1st (and neither are we quite good enough either).

 

5th would be fine with me;but 2nd /third better still as gives a home play-off game and even though i guess receipts are shared; a bit more revenue to the club at end of season-whats more-we may even win that play-off and make the final.

 

Having made the play-offs-we need to be certain and win them.

Going to agree with you on that one MM , we will have a place in the playoffs for sure but i also think if we don`t win promotion this season it will be harder next season to achieve , as i think certain players may not be around to help us on in the future .

Agree entirely Andy.However lets not give up top spot just yet. Its still a big possibility & still within our capabilities that we can win the thing outright.If we can hang on in there until such times that we get ALL our players back & playing then who knows! Our chances will certainly increase once that happens,for sure.
But being more realistic,yes,as you mention,the play-offs a more likely outcome.I'd say 3rd or more likely 4th spot.

We will finish in top spot as I already predicted, and just to make sure i have refrained from putting any money on it!

If we can get the suspended players back I still think we can win it. We have home advantage in the majority of games and only have Chelmsford and Billericay to play from the top teams. Away games are all winnable including Chelmsford, with the full squad. We need the bloody rain to stop as we play much better on good pitches.

I entirely agree with maragateshot.

 

I think the key things are the weather and getting our pitch sorted! Given our lack of match fitness we did enough yesterday to keep us well and truely in the hunt. I thought Sappleton was top dog yesterday and with the likes of Sapp doing the job week in week out we can do it!
