Help Needed

Recommended Posts

Today the pitch was partially covered with polythene sheeting in an attempt to prevent it from flooding again. Help is required tomorrow morning to help remove this sheeting to allow the sunlight to reach the grass, so that the grass does not become yellow. Help is required from 9am onwards.

Thanks go to Tam, Dave and Vicki for helping me and Ray get the sheets onto the pitch.

Hope to see many of you bright and early tomorrow.

SS sorry to contradict but I think Ray knows what he is doing. With the sheets on it will also keep the moisture in and so not dry out. I assume that the sheets will be put back on Sat night before the rain.

Well done MFC for the 'investment'.

A pity again thata bit of news like this does not make the official site/press-would create so much goodwill, and maybe even a few more on the crowds.

We do seem to miss so many PR opportunities.

There was an official historical release today about Feb player of month; so why could this inportant news be added at the same time.So frustrating the opportunities that are lost to create interest in MFC

Having said that, how much of the pitch do the protective sheets cover -i imagine centre circle and goalmouths, but interested to know

Quite right Ian & so it was! Covers were blown all over, even the metal fences holding down the covers were blown out of position. Pitch this morning(especially the central part)looking like a "bog".
4 days of wind & sun would be the only way the game on Tuesday would be able to go ahead i.m.o & with NO MORE RAIN! Even then I wouldn't guarantee it.As it looks now its a definate no-no to Tuesday. But we can still hope. Its all in the laps of the gods now!
