Israel v England - Will He or Won't He

Nothing new, once again. All that has changed is that the entire readership of The Times now know that Kentish Town's Head Coach is an illegal immigrant who outstayed his Visa in Israel, abandoned his 2 year old son with a team mate and is now trying to cash in on his potential fame and fortune.

And all this about a man who is said to be publicity-shy and embarrassed about any press he receives. What a prize pillock you really are, clip Rods.

Incidentally, any chance of Clement getting a job and putting something back into this country rather than spending every afternoon thinking about tactics over a coffee in Brent Cross? Or is he an illegal immigrant here too?

SteveR - What on earth are you talking about, this is unprecedented publicity for the SSML, Kentish Town, 'the great one' and Toto who will no doubt be plying his trade in the Premiership next season. I simply can't understand why you and Lato are knocking the article although I can't say I'm surprised, no doubt Potters Bar Town and Horace will put their twopennysworth in too in a minute. You haven't mentioned the photograph of 'the great one' in The Times, do you recognise where it was taken.

clip Rods, in order for something to be predictable, you have to say it BEFOREHAND, not half an hour later!

In any case, what about the rest of my post? Surely that's more important that picking out the only four words that don't prove you to be a complete dickhead?

From the Times article " His relationship with his country is strained, too. Though Toto speaks fluent Hebrew and considers himself to be Israeli — this month he was called up to play for Nigeria but declined — he does not have an Israeli passport. The authorities have refused to grant him one, even though he has appeared three times for the national side.

In response, Toto effectively went on strike from international duty and only became eligible to play against England last week when he agreed to an extension of his temporary residency permit. "

So I'm right, Rhodes, that twaddle about Toto having been given Israeli citizenship was just that "twaddle" - it's in black and white in he Times, so it can't be wrong. Why don't you buy the guinea pig food instead?

Folks - All I have been hearing today on tv and on the radio is Toto Temile this and Toto Temile that, Five Live's football correspondent in Jerusalem has virtually guaranteed he will beat England on his own so lets wait and see what happens. We're all going down to either Stamford Hill or Golders Green to watch the game with the Israeli Community and it's a Godsend that Kentish Town don't have a game tomorrow, Phil Rolt really has to be the best and most considerate fixture Secretary in the non league game if not football full stop.

Rhodes. Funny, I haven't heard a word about Toto. How can you support Israel?

You have ignored my post about Toto's status - do you accept that he's still only a temporary resident?

Who said I was supporting Israel, I didn't. I think there is a lot of conflicting stories about his citizenship and residency, personally I think he has been given it but the Israeli Government have told him to keep it under his hat for the time being, I still think you will be writing that cheque out before too long.

Rhodes - you're talking rubbish again, not that it comes as a surprise.

I've had Radio Five on for most of the day - there hasn't been a single mention of Toto Temile, not one. Been a couple of brief mentions of Toto Tamuz along the lines that he's expected to be a substitute but could be a danger.

If Rhodes starts football related violence will he have his passport taken away from him? I am asking as this could be an obvious ploy to copy his hero Clement - Passportless!!

So why not watch it in a good ol English spit and sawdust pub or footie clubhouse like the rest of us??

I really have trouble taking this in mad
Just coz my ex was Irish I never cheered for Ireland - I am English.
Just coz my fella comes from Ghana I do NOT cheer for them - I am English.
Why is an Englishman supporting Israel???

I put it to you Rhodes that you are out to wind us lot up (well you have succeeded). You are obviously trying to make some new friends in the Israeli community because you have upset all your English acquaintances and friends (especially those on this forum).

Rhodes - I never thought i'd agree with the majority on here - I used to 'stick up' for you. Well no more.

Rhodes - grow up or shut up!! Stop living in a fairytale world! Start talking sense!

Paula - I have to say that I was a somewhat taken aback by your last two posts particularly as you have been so quiet on here of late, I did say earlier to Horace that I wouldn't be supporting Israel and we are simply going to watch the game in a pub, it just happens to be in Golders Green or Stamford Hill that's all. I'm not out to wind anybody up, you should all be delighted for Kentish Town that our Head Coach's son is playing at the very highest level of the World stage against England this evening rather than try to pick holes in the fact and try to ridicule 'the great one' as per usual.
