AFC v Slough Supporters II

Martin

Recommended Posts

In the biggest rematch since Apollo "The Master of Disaster" Creed took on Rocky "The Italian Stallion" Balboa it seems that the supporters of Slough will return to take on AFC looking to avenge the 10-2 drubbing from last season.

I've been in touch with Mark from AFC who organised it last time and he will look to book up a pitch prior to our game on the 31st. As usual let me know on here, via pm or by e-mail if you are able to play. I'll also be asking the usual suspects at games in the coming weeks.

All supporters will be welcome and Sue I can confirm there are no restricted views at supporters matches.

I've made a couple of tactical decisions so far:

1) Radders isn't on penalties and

2) I'm going to tell Boxall the kick off is an hour earlier than it is

Have you picked up your DVD's yet? That would prove it either way! smile

I won't be filming this one though after promises from the AFC boys for about 8 copies, they didn't follow through on it, so it was a bit of a waste from that point of view. Unless..... there is enough interest from our lot to do it, but I would need confirmed orders before the match....

All monies made from the sales of this DVD and others are now going directly to the club, so it's for a very worthy cause!!

Erm that may be my fault actually. Mark AFC has asked me if we had any luck with the DVD for the last one as the interest is still there. I said I'd have a word with you. Sorry forgot to pass on the details after the last game.

I've not picked up my Hampton DVD yet as we have had so few home games but I'll pick it up soon as I've been having difficulty sleeping and that might send me off.

Ok cool, its not all my fault then. I'll have to check I've got your hotmail address. I think I may only have work and old Sloughie one.

Alas Martin we will not be going to the Wimbledon game as we are away but as you say I would of been able to see and enjoy the supporters game, unlike the other game being played afterwards, when the only thing I would be able to see is the continuous stream of Wimbledon fans walking up and down in front of me eating and drinking.

Can I just suggest to anyone under the height of 6 foot to take a box to stand on, that way you might see a football match!!

I hope you win by the way

Glad to hear it Warren (and Charlie and Marcus) - I've already warned AFC that we now have a much stronger squad and will prove a sterner test than last time out.

I thought the plan was to play Kingstonian to ensure a closer match - I'm guessing that fell through at their end.

Anyway, I was due to be working that morning but can now confirm I'm free, so you can all breathe a big sigh of relief.
