Anthing Interesting in the Romford recorder today?

Recommended Posts

not gonna comment on the groundshare as i dont see it happening but UM you say romford is a big enough town to host esl games but we have been looking for a ground since 1992 and are still looking for option thus the unlikely option of groundshare with you was being looked into

my point being is we can't keep putting you up every 10 years,we done it last time, the ground has moved on since then and alot of money has been spent on it to get it up to conf south standard. Why after all that work should we give it all up so the bitter lot from down the road can move in and then moan about it once they move out like they did last time.

the north gates and the original main entrance was in hornchurch smallsy until the boundaries changed some while back...there used to be tennis and squash courts along side of that main entrance but guess what....the council sold it for flats....

now look at the headline in todays recorder...150 recreation and park plots to be sold off....hmmmm....housing and money for the council....

now what was all that about the future of the stadium on the back page... grin....

Afc Hornchurch would lose out not being able to play any games other than first team games at the bridge. This means our youth teams, capital league would miss out on playing on a decent pitch week in week out.
The stadium would be overstretched and anyway romford is a big enough town to be able to host essex senior league football instead of having to harm any chances AFC Hornchurch would have of progressing as a club.Thats how much our friend zody and his cronies actually care about local Football.

Romfords 5 miles away so go play there!!!

Hactually U-M the Recorder report says something about only the Romford first team playing at Bridge Avenue with all three Urchin teams having matchday usage!!!"!

Go on. Give it a try!!! grin

Obviously a well timed article, where Rumford will now have the opportunity to purchase some land from the council.
Common sense!

What is the RR up to? An old article about UU last week and now a complete curve ball article about a ground share with Rumford.

Change of editor or is someone bending their ear from the sidelines.............................hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
