I trust you are keeping well.
I am sadly forced to write in relation to a post made yesterday (1 March) at 08.09 on the Spartan South Midlands League Forum by a member called old lag. This post has concerned me greatly as he or she is spreading vicious rumours and lies about a particular non league football club. This is surely not in the spirit of the Forum, indeed it is not the first time this individual has done this and I would be most grateful if you would issue a formal warning with a view to banning the member if he or she continues down this road.

I don't actually believe for a minute that you sent that as a PM, clip Rods. If you had sent off such a PM, would you have been able to provide any evidence to prove that old lag's post contained "vicious rumours and lies"?

 

If not, perhaps it is you that should be warned/banned for making such accusations and generally being a twat. It's also a bit rich posting this given your own track record for telling lies on here, backtracking on statements, contradicting yourself, being insensitive, etc., etc. I believe that Lato and Spidermanor are both waiting for apologies from you for accusations you have made against them that remain, to date, unfounded.

Potters Bar Town - Despite what you say in trying to somehow justify Old lag's disturbing post, which I'm surprised about, Ian is currently investigating and I gather will shortly be issuing a formal warning either as a PM or publically with a view to banning him or her BewareofRhodents style. There was no need to create this post and furthermore there is no evidence to even suggest that we might be in danger of going to the wall, as a Secretary what if someone did exactly the same to your Club out of interest, what would your reaction be.

OK guys - let's calm it a bit.

 

If people are going to make claims then they need to back it up - in my view these sort of posts do no-one any good at all - we are in the business of supporting grass roots football - not hoping that clubs go to the wall.

 

Unless 'old lag' has had a cheque bounce on him - then my guess is that it is just a rumour (probably untrue) - all fines are unpaid (until paid) so technically this can be said of any club. I cannot comment upon the first three items - they may or may not be true - if they are true then I wish the club all the best both now and in the future and hope they can sort everything out in conjunction with their local FA / League.

 

We will deal with this under our site rules.

Potters Bar Town - I really can't make you out sometimes, you have already been proved wrong big time on this thread (see your quote) and now you still have to have the last word following Ian's helpful post, why couldn't you just let the matter rest as that was the end of it as far as I was concerned with hopefully Old lag learning his lesson.

I think it's Old lag who has learned the lesson and deserved his wrap across the knuckles from Ian who has handled the situation sensibly, I don't like to see members banned, BewareofRhodents style, and I'm glad common sense has prevailed.

Southall Football Club was suspended on Thursday February 9th by the Middlesex County Football Association for a failure to comply with a Rule 12 notice served upon the Club with regard to non payment of ground share rent to Yeading Football Club.

 

As a consequence of the above action the Combined Counties League postponed the match away to Bedfont due to be played on Saturday February 11th.

 

Following conversation today between Southall Football Club and Yeading Football Club the latter has agreed to the suspension of Southall’s suspension, that the Middlesex County Football Association had put in place at the request of Yeading, until 5pm on Tuesday February 14th. This is to allow time for Southall Football Club to pay the outstanding ground share rent of £7650 to the Middlesex County Football Association to satisfy the conditions imposed by the Rule 12 notice.

 

The Combined Counties League has given notice to its member clubs of an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on March 13th at Woking FC called to discuss the future of Southall Football Club within the organisation.

 

The member clubs will be asked at the EGM to consider whether Southall Football Club should be removed from Combined Counties League competitions for the remainder of the 2005-2006 season and also to consider the conditions that will have to be met for the inclusion of Southall Football Club in the constitution of the Combined Counties League for the 2006-2007 season
