I just recently also put this on the covers post.About the old pitch.

Can't say I remember very many games being off because ground was waterlogged in the past, but then we had the slope which in itself helped with natural drainage. When we were in the Conference the pitch was levelled somewhat, but there was still a bit of a slope there! I think it really is to do with the construction of the new pitch that is causing all the problems!

Yes-shame for Skinner against his old club.

Positives-Means Sappleton misses one less game on his road to recovery.

Also means RT has even more time to find those two additional signings he has been telling us about since January .mmmmm

Should I start getting used to games getting called off? Not looking good though frown

Spose I should look out for the other scores from the Bromley, Hampton and AFC games.

Up the gate!

Our pitch at Wingham is on Neavey Downs, which is chalk, and it has a slope, and my border collie did not get a game this morning because it is a quagmire.

I think we have just been really really unlucky with the weather.

But at the saying goes - 'February fill-dyke'. March winds are coming to dry us off.

And our team are good enough to get us back up there. So nil desperandum, Sodge may be on telly tonight!
