Tonights game

Mal, can I just ask you to stop posting messages on OUR forum saying that OUR games are in doubt/unlikely to go ahead unless you have specific information above and beyond looking out of a window. We have contacted OUR club secretary who asked that there is message posted on OUR board to say that no inspection is planned. If that changes the information will be passed to OUR supporters just as soon as possible. Its hard enough to pull supporters through the gates for midweek matches without people putting them off with speculation.

As it happens Martin, i haven't just looked out of the window I have actually been tp the club to look at the pitch.

Pardon me for trying to pass on useful information to Slough supporters.

All this OUR forum [****!!****] is utter crap. The whole idea of the forums is that they are a public domain, and in this instance I have used it to pass on useful information.

I don't hear any of the other supporters moaning that they have been given a heads up that the pitch MIGHT be unplayable.

For your information the groudstaff were, at lunchtime, doing their best to dry out the pitch but with the rain it is an uphill struggle.

Just be thankful that there are members of other teams out there that are willing to take their time to come on here and give useful information.

No it isn't useful information. I don't give a rats [****!!****] that you've been and looked at the pitch and know that your ground staff have been working on it. We have been playing on that craphole for three years and are fully versed in the liklihood of getting the matches played. We pay for the privelege of using the pitch and the least we would expect is for the ground staff to try and get matches played. We all assumed the match was in doubt from the moment it started raining last night. It really didn't take a genius. If you are so worried about giving up your precious time simply sod off and don't post on our forum.

Martin how many games have been called off before this season for you? This isn't a dig or anything to 'wind up' any one i'm just interested. Before this season we havn't had any home games called off whilst you were sharing that i remember

Honestly can't remember - we tended to struggle more with scheduling with the Pigeon club and the model club. Certainly played a few on Sundays.

The point is - it is common sense that the weather has been bad and the game is in doubt. Leave it as late as possible before you leave home/work, check on the site if able, otherwise check with others. What we don't need is people not even bothering to attend because Mal's in the know. Doubtless within the hour we will have the result of the inspection and all will be clear.

I think he was only trying to give the fans as much infomation as he could something you seem to moan about your club not doing! Besides Malcs our wipping boy for when things go bad and need someone to blame!
