We might as well give it a go, Horace. The Chairman is panicking about the cost of promotion but it is probably a tall order as we still have to play Harlow (twice), Hornchurch and Canvey. Mind you, in RhodesWorld we are apparently deep in a relegation battle!

It was always apparent to anyone in the know that you were not in relegation trouble. The difficult games you cite mean that, if you can win them, you will put yourselves amongst them for a play-off place. I can well imagine the mixed feelings!

Anything seems achievable in this league!! Who'd have thought last years reserves would be top half of the table for Canvey and like PBT fighting for a play off spot.

You (PBT) are like us - although promotion is what most people wish for surely it is better to have more money in the coffers first.

We started with zilch in the bank but we've all worked hard to finance the running of the club. We may be in a better position than you (what the hell do I know Kevin lol) as we have a bigger more dedicated following of fans and we will do anything (well almost anything) to help raise monies for the club. Most (if not all) of the staff work for the love of the club and no longer draws a wage.

Next season we will have more money to tempt the more experienced players in and then and only then (my opinion and not the clubs) will the team be able to hold its own in a higher league.

I personally feel that IF we win promotion then we could strggle with the squad we have at present (just like we did in the Conference)

I'm pleased you see us as a challenge though - we will certainly make sure its not an easy ride for you.

Nah - that was for my baby (a four legged one called Rusty). You should see his little face when he plays with it - he's a fantastic goal keeper. I reckon he will be going places
