Yesterdays Farce At Wimbledon

Sometime providence smiles in an unusual way and having my PC break last night is one of them. If it had not, I think I would've posted a tirade of unreasonable comments.

Firstly, of the two teams, I thought we were the more organised even though Wimbledon shaded the first half. The second when there were 11 players each on the field, I though it was evens. So, TC's comments that D'Sane did a job on us, was certainly a loaded comment, that I can see. He did a great job as when the gamesmanship antics started we had just won a corner. And from there the game decended into a farce which the officials appeared to be happy to precide over.

I would agree with TC that we should never had lost our concentration and let the situation get on top of us but overall the game left me with a very bitter taste in my mouth. Our promotion credintials are as strong as any team in the top six but unfortunately, it appears to me that games are no longer decided by who is the best team on the day. It is decided by what player gets caught by chancing his arm in the less than gracious act of "gmesmanship" and the ineptness (or stupidity) of the officials to apply the rules of the game against what ever team and or player they wish or choose.

At the moment, I find myself struggling to wish Wimbledon well in their league hearing. Rules are rules and the Ryman has would have set a precident if they do not stick to their guns and punish the club as set down in the rule book. If they don't pally the rules, it would certainly lead to my view that we're kidding ourselves that winning this league is anything but a lottery decided by inept, weak and inconsitant officials, on and off the pitch.

The league and the play-off positions are decided over who the best 5 sides are over the course of the season. "Luck" tends to even itself out. Yesterday the ref [****!!****] up large but we gave him the opportunity to do so. We need to get over it and move on. There will be plenty more [****!!****] refereeing performances before the end of the season, I think we can be sure of that.

With regard to AFCW I enjoyed my visit. I will be astonished if their appeal over their points deduction bears any fruit though and personally I hope it doesnt. Nothing against them but it would lead to a free-for-all if it does.

dont think ronnie was injured he seemed ok in the warm up. Thought the manager got it wrong to drop him. why change a winning side?

I don't think swapping keepers made much difference to the outcome
