I honestly cant remember Burnham Reserve goalkeeper for us, Dennison? Mills, Daly, Donovan,Price,Wilko (SUB 70 ???), Moleski,Abby, NO IDEA ON OTHER MID,Milf, Hale (sub davies 45)

Support was superb, players gave 100% and came over to clap us all. ETU were the least vocal fans i have ever seen.....

New Keeper Dennison

Thought we were okay for 1st 10/15 minutes, but fell apart with 3 goals in 5 minutes and never recovered.

Made more of a fight of it in the 2nd half, although that was probably more down to East Thurrock takign it easy.

I think the other midfielder was Symon James but I am not certain as I didn't catch the teams. Which should make for an interesting report.

In the opening 15 minutes we gave as good as we got but its the same story as when we go behind it does some to lead to an avalanche of goals. Apparently the penalty was harsh but it looked stone wall from our angle.

ETU manager is a top bloke - he was shaking hands with Slough supporters congratulating them on the excellent support and even said that to me despite some stick I'd given him for moaning about a corner that was never given at 4-0. It was nice to see someone react to a victory like that.

I was well in line for the penalty. Daly and the forward were adjacent, chasing the ball. Daly slid and got the ball clearly with good contact to divert it away from danger. The opposition forward tripped over Daly's leg when the ball was travelling to safety.

I have to say..and might sound I have gone completly nuts...maybe i have ...lol...

but I am enjoying this season in a funny way, the Slough fans have started to enjoy the social and the repore with current squad , like I have not sseen for many years.... both sides players and supporters giving their 100% efforts..and we had a really good day except of course for the result...ok we are doomed for relegation , but with the rebels spirit I hope we can sort our off the field problems and bounce back to some winning ways, but this year proves you dont have to win at all costs to enjoy the day out with the Rebels..

Agree with Chris, travelling away at the moment is a good day out and a good laugh if you ignore the result - in any case I expect to lose every game!

Scoring a goal was a bonus.

After the game one of the young defenders came up to us and said most of the goals were his fault - the highest he has played is for Bromley reserves in front of 20 people, so he's still learning. But big of him to come to us and own up to mistakes.

Lets hope we can keep hold of Wilko and his fighting spirit for next season.

The away matches have been a lot more fun. It was also a nice touch from the ETU manager to come up and shake us by the hand. He re-iterated what he said at Slug Meadow, and told us that we are one on the best sets of supporters in the league, even the ones that gave him stick.

As for the game, I thought we were on top before the goals came, and also in the second half. If we can sort out the mistakes (which is hard to do on most of the pitches we have to play on) we can start getting some points.

As BR said, one of the defenders put his hands up to most of the goals, which I thought was very brave of him, and also shows that he has true team commitment.

Let's hope that the game against Staines is on, on Tuesday. Were there is a tiny tiny possibility of being able to do a double against them....(I live in hope !)
