urchins v's wabbey - update fandango

The pitch ruined it today as a spectacle. Not knocking anybody but the weather has been foul recently! We actually tried to play some nice footbal but difficult on that type of surface.

I'll be glad to see our main strikers back as we are lacking something upfront at the moment.

Well done lads today.... the unbeaten run continues.

Conditions were indeed very difficult and at times today there did seem to be more "heat" than "light". Plenty of effort as you would expect from our lads but we lacked that final spark. Nevertheless we are stil picking up points from every game and all the teams in the league would certainly swap their position for ours. If this is the only blip we have this season we have done extremely well.

the pitch was 'lost' last october/november with the heavy rainfall at that time and we have struggled to keep it up since then...

the rain of recent weeks has made it worse as has the need to train on it due to the practice pitch being unfit after we asked the council to do the required works on it but they ignored us. (I should mention here that we offered to spend the money on it ourselves on condition we could fence it in and keep the bikers/dogs/public off it... but they refused as it was PC delicate)...!!!!

maybe we could arange a groundshare to focus their minds a little and deal with all of these issues.... grin

A bun fight for you lot I would say Royal but we are well out of it. I know nothing is certain in football but I have just had a look at our "run in" and the only games I would say we may need to break sweat in are against your goodselves and Canvey. Potters Bar away could be a potential banana skin but the rest look quite nice.

We are 11 points ahead of Harlow and I would venture to suggest that we will not drop 11 points between now and the end of the season. So for Harlow to catch us they will need to win ALL their remaining games.

We shall watch the scrap for play-off places with detached interest. Good luck, by the way.
