that`s right , last nights Cup game v Herne Bay was cancelled.

What are the odds for this weekends HOME tie in the Kent Youth Cup being played.

Little to none. With important first team games at Hartsdown Park coming up the pitch will need all the protection it can get!

I can understand that especially under the circumstances but to have an u18s team that can not play home games is rather against the point of having a team. Plus these lads are (were) doing quite well and had a good chance of winning something this season. A reminder that they have not played a league game since 12th November whilst most of there close league rivals are playing.

There must be a way around this problem as the club as a whole suffers with the players having lack of match practise

Seems simple to us, there are pitches around Thanet that are still being used allbeit not so good we know that playing on a poor pitch must be better than not playing. After todays cancelled game I expect it will be more of the same.

I know I haven't lived in Thanet for a while now but can anyone tell me why they couldn't play at say Jackey Bakers, Northdown Park or Westgate?? As differentgame just said, there are loads of pitches around the area

my son plays for red arrow at dane court and the pitches there are preety good he practiced there this morning and has a match tomorrow there must be plenty of pitches that are ok

There are a few rules about MUSH football, pitches, facilities, refreshments etc have to be in place. Like you I`m sure, for the sake of the team, something could have beeen sorted in the last 4 months half the season a season in fact. Especially when the reserves call on them to make up numbers. I have now watched RFC U18s play more times this year.
