Fun Day May 7th

"Dulwich Hamlet Supporters Trust has recently received a grant of £4,100 from Awards for All to stage a community day at Champion Hill prior to the matchagainst Ashford Town on 21st April.Awards for All is a National Lottery funded programme to fund projectsthat promote participation in sport, the arts, and community activities. Grants between £300 and £10,000are available.

The Community Day includes street entertainment with a steel band from a local school, human tablefootball and a Playbus operated by Southwark Council. Local schools have been invited to participate in a penalty shoot outand a competition to design a polo shirt for the Junior Hamlets section.All participating children will receive free entry to thegame and prizes include free season tickets.

The event shows the potential from supporters trusts developing links with its community, in this case the local authority and

local schools.The day forms part of Dulwich Hamlets Supporters Trust efforts to increase the profile of the club in its local

community, whilst also attracting new supporters."

 

Perhaps an idea for next year. A grant of that size might allow a larger event.

that would be marvellous if its possible... would certainly help pay for the menial things like advertising!

If you are looking for other organisations to take stalls etc, Rainbow Pre-School in Stoke Poges may do something ( I'm the treasurer) We could do some little kiddie games or something. Let me know

I can always help with grant applications like awards for all - very easy to do and up to £10,000.

the council have probably also got a small grants programme as well.

we will need helpers and donations..

 

we are runing a tombola stall and any items that you may have around the house , can be donated at supporters corner on match days ! anything ..from tins of soup to bottles of booze..all donations will be most welcomed...

brief plan for the day !

 

start about 2pm

 

4 x football matches 20 mins each way. then 15 min break between matches.

 

 

tombola stall

club shop stall

food stall (polish club)

face painting

bouncy castle

plus a few private stalls supporting local charities.

 

and the summer draw..tickets on sale now ..please all ensure you get and sell these tickets... 4 ticket per book at 25p each ticket or a pound a book...

I know the Supporters team is due to feature. Which will be a highlight for us all.

as far as i know the plan was to have two junior sides, two ladies sides, supporters vs the stfc boys and possibly ks gryffs vs church lane or similar

Charlie, or anyone else who knows, has a ladies team been lined up as yet? I know someone involved with Reading Ladies who may be able to make an appearance, although I gather the two sides face each other next weekend!
