anyone know why white ensign are reluctant to join the esl?

god how bad would there ground have to be then,worse than clapton?,i know they had floodlights fitted a couple of seasons back.

It's not bad by any means Richard, but I think there are problems like railings, public pitches, changing rooms, council etc...that all comes into it.

well i dont drive and its probably a bugger to get to,how far is the nearest train station?

Rayleigh I believe, it's not far...would be a 15 minute walk I reackon. Otherwise wait till we next have Bowers. Say hello if you do.

ok ill look it up on the a to z,it cant be a lot further to walk to from the nearest station than great wakering which is about 2 miles from shoeburyness i believe.

there is the number 20a bus that takes you to Hullbridge from rayleigh station every 20 minutes.

I made the trip to Hullbridge by train via Rayleigh and 20A bus from there during the day and it was a pleasnt trip to an interesting place especially if you use your imagination to picture the past. Nice pub near river and nice walk along river if the weather is right. Long walk from Rayleigh tho'

White Ensign are doing everything possible in trying to gain entry into the ESL, our ground is up to standard as are all the facilities. Unfortuanetly its the people in suits that are stopping Ensign from using our ground to play in the ESL ( havent a clue why tho ? ).
We have enquired with numerous clubs about groundsharing and have also looked at available pitches in the area that we could upgrade to the required standard needed for ESL entry ( although this would take some time depending on what work would need doing ).
It is a constant battle at the moment as Ensign would like to progress as far as possible but it seems we are being halted in our tracks for one apparant reason or another.
If anyone has any further ideas or help as to how we can gain entry this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
