Fans Trust

I managed to speak to a few of you last night regarding this it was brought up a little while ago by one of the choir

I think a fans trust should be started, with everyone having a equal share. From conversations last night I would say it would be set up as follows

Set up by Dave Cox as he has already looked into it

Run by Frankie for the first year, as apart from being short, he is more than capable

Everyone gets an equal vote

Elections each year

Money can be brought it in various ways;

Monthly subs :- Voluntary

Charity events

Begging .... anything really

The money raised can be used in any way which we want to, whether it is used to buy a pitch cover, donate money to the club, buy Ray a bigger sponge, anything

Could you just add to this thread if you are willing to join or help or do anything

Once we have the basic numbers then Dave Cox will get the ball rolling so to speak

Also hoping to get a monthly mag out, nothing flashy, just to let everyone know whats happening, also to get this out to Joe public to build up a bit on interest in the club

As for me, I just want to get it off the ground, then help with fund raising

I would gladly support the trust and its ideas. Might even be able to spread the word this far across the Thames Valley!!! Please keep me informed!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that this was mooted several years ago but never got off the ground. Having a Trust in addition to MISA does strike me as being rather 'People's Front of Judea'.

In any case isn't the point of Fans Trusts to put the ownership of clubs into the hands of supporters? It's not just about fundraising. And we all know that would never be allowed to happen.

if the end result is to improve the club then its a good idea.It is something that needs to be well structured and well organised.Liason with the club is essential so that both parties can work together and show unity. It has worked at other clubs so give it a go. I am in Favour-if its done right.

Agree entirely with the above. So count me in if I can help!
