I think Trotty summed it up in his post match interview when he said we haven't had much luck lately (the interview is well worth a listen if you haven't heard it and thanks to Wellsie once again for asking great questions!) We are missing those who're suspended and Trotty needs to ensure that no more players are shown red this season, after Standen last night (who had a good game upto then) we certainly cannot afford any more. Also bad news about Sappleton, seems he's out for a while from Trotty's interview.

Also, from the squad page (and if my maths is correct!) Nick Bagley is 20 and I agree that he had a very good game last night.

Bring on Saturday in what is a tough but crucial game.

Up the Gate!

I thought we started very well last night and, up to their goal, we pretty much dominated the game. Their goal came totally against the run of play and it seemed to knock the stuffing out of us. We seemed to lose our ability to pass the ball and we stopped creating as many chances. But I was still totally confident of a comeback until that second goal (which, let's be honest, was a superb goal). It was always going to be a long way back from that point, but I still felt we could have snatched what would have been a deserved point. I was very unimpressed with Tonbridge - very average, and clearly based around Main (who is evidently a very good player).

On the plus side, I was very impressed with Bagley. Standen is a complete headcase. OK, it's nice to see some bite but he always seems to lose his head. And what a foolish time to get himself sent off when, due to other injuries, he could have cemented a place in the side with a good run of form.

A big blow for our title hopes, which I feel, with our run of games, will be difficult to achieve now. However, I am still very confident of a playoff space. Roll on Saturday, where we can hopefully return to winning ways.

I do think that luck in the past few games has come into it. What I am thinking of by saying thius is that we have certainly been unlucky with the some of the referees recently and some of their decisions.

However, I agree that in the season as a whole we have had luck helping us along the way with results on several days going our way.

we dont have a team that can cope well under pressure because their all too young! they havent got experiance or stronge enough bodies. like on saturday dolly just kept getting pushed over, im not saying thats his fault. but they really need some players who are experianced and strong.

You mean like Oates,Trott,Saunders,Protheroe,Standen Hockton and Pinnock, plus the currently sidelined players of Mckimm,Skinner,Sappleton and Abbott.

-sorry-don't mean to be facetious and nothing personal, but i feel we are in danger here of making excuses:

luck, inexperience,injuries, .

The same that happens to all the teams.

We should be walking this league with the quality of our players.

Lets re-shape and re-group now and get on with the job.

Is better to face harsh reality now and turn things around ,rather than go on a witch-hunt at the end of the season when we've failed .

When 'excuses' start to be made, thats a sure sign of pressure and that failure is just around the corner.

yes we need to re-shape and re-group becasue these reserve players dont fit in like the other players. they need to work harder to fit in and the rest of the group should work harder to make the reserves part of the team. and trott should know when to put some new legs on the field and when not too!

The reserves have not played for 5 weeks, how the hell can you get a reserve player and ask him to play the same standard as Skinns,McKimm, Sappleton it cant be done,why?..because if they was as good they would not be in the reserves..dont get me wrong on this I think MW is doing a great job for the res;BUT we need 1st team players who can take over from the ones that get injured or suspended without making too much of a change to the side....get that right and you have a title winning side.

Do the 1st team and reserves ever get together to train , if not they should , I think its called bonding then they would no each others game and how one player likes to play then there would be no problem with anyone fitting in if a 1st teamer had a injury or was suspended .

I know its awkward with the training and where its held but if you want to play you have to be prepared to do anything possible weather your 1st team or ressies .
