Our problem?

I can't fathom what's wrong with us-we're either world beaters or totally pants-especially under floodlights at Hartsdown. I know we're players down but we should have a squad to cope with it. Very dissapointed with last nights performance-only JJ and the very promising Bagley came out of it with any credit imo. Pinns' deserves some credit too-admiral workrate. The disipline's gone (sort this out Trotty), Hockton's lost his form, Trotty couldn't clear his lines to save his life last night, poor passing and why oh why do we not use subs when the players on the pitch aren't doing it? This post must sound like a moan and rant but it actually is really about me being totally baffled by our ineptitude.

Agree with you there Hornet. Discipline - TROTTY YOU MUST GET THIS SORTED OUT! We are not premiership prima donnas - elbows, stamping, two footed tackles - whether accidental or not, THIS MUST STOP. We can't afford to keep losing key players with plenty of talent - if you can't sort it go back to Sunday League!

 

Danny Hockton - what is bugging him at the moment? A couple of weeks ago a lovely article in the NLP about how happy he is here and how well he's playing - he looks absolute pants at the moment! Poor guy, when he's on top form he's a joy to watch. I still think we should give the captains armband to someone else whilst SM if suspended and let DH do what he's best at - hat-tricks!!

 

Am chuffed for Nick Bagley - he had a great second half on Saturday and sounded like he had a good one last night too. Good on ya mate! I personally hope you get stronger and battle for a regular start.

 

Gladd Pinns is still playing well - another player I rate highly and hope will stay with us when we get promoted (note no negativity in that sentence!!)

Although Standen is the most improved player we've got he still has this poor temperament (or complete lack of intelligence I'd call it) and for all Trotty's tough talking it doesn't seem to be getting through to some players. We can't afford to lose the amount of players we are without a larger depth of squad.

Sometimes they seem to expect promotion rather than WANTING it. It's a battle up the top and we've got to start showing that we're up for it or we'll start dropping down the league the same way as that R*msgate lot.

Standen has always had a poor disciplinary record (remember headbutt v Dartford last season?). He's too old to change now.

No one can seriously criticise Hockton after the number of goals he has scored. This blip is down to us missing key players, simple as that.

I think we tend to unerestimate teams a bit at times and i think that can be our problem too. I didn't see much of the first-half, what i did see was us giving the ball away cheaply and creating nothing and just hitting long, wastful balls.

 

In the second-half we had more of a purpose. We were poor at the back yesterday i thought and the midfeild we nowhere again last night. We were building the ball up nicely, but losing it the final third and quite a few times we were losing the ball with promising crosses. Yesterday when it came to crosses there was only 2 attacking players in the box, 1 on the front post and 1 on the back post and there was not one body in the middle, which was where our crosses were landing. I think we would have scored at least 1 maybe 2 goals had we had that extra man in the box.

 

Before Frankie says anything, it was not my fault to why we lost.

cant blame the youngsters this bad dip in form started whilst we had a full squad.standen let everyone down again last night and should never wear a gate shirt again .jay saunders was outstanding against a very ordinary tonbridge,its down to the manager and assistant to earn their money and sort it out or we will not even make the play offs.we now have a run of tough matches and if we play like that we will lose the lot.

yes the same thing will happen to us, they beat us last week, in the re arranged game that was halted with us leading 2-0, they won 3-2, no problem get over it.

The worry is all Bromley's big guns seem to be getting fit again after long lay offs & on paper (although I know football isn't played on paper) they have the best last 8 to 10 game run in out of all the teams at top. While we are having players ruled out at this stage of the season, it could all go wrong at the business end of the season.

thought proths was [****!!****] last night,should have been taken off at half time.trott should have moved jay up into the middle and put donavon in as centre back.looked good until they scored and then we turned to [****!!****].thought standen had played well last night and saturday.some of the passes he was making was superb.then he has another red card tw4t!impressed by bagley so far,if he carrys on i'm sure he'll get a regular place.

The problem we had last night is that we had 3 first teamers out,McKimm,Sapps and Skinns,it just shows how weak we are in depth.Against a side who IMO are very poor,we should have wrapped it up before they got there 1st goal but near missis and not hitting the target cost us,also there keeper had an outstanding game a he was the reason that this poor side went away with the points.
