not the prettiest of games against a team who came for one point and had little interest in three....but well done to forest who worked hard and no one said it was gonna be easy this season....

five urchin first team players out with 60 goals 'tween them and unfortunately it showed...speaks bundles about our small squad and our knocks and suspensions when our under 18 centre back comes on in the second half as a striker but well done to billy crowther...his first team debut I believe...

normal service from fletch macca and purds with elliot standing in well for danny g....but thats 4 points from 6 with our revamped line up and 20 matches unbeaten and 14 points clear tonight so we'll take it in our stride and move onwards to saturday....the boys looked a bit deflated after the game but we must take the good from the performance of a much changed team...sturdy and resolute and never looked like losing...surely the mark of champions...

mind you...alan fenn the redbridge manager fcked off at half time and after what he's used to it must have been poor....(hi alan) grin

We missed some key players yesterday, but I think with what we had we did well to get a point, although the game was rather dull. Forest won a lot of headers and put players all round ours, including a mass wall on the goal line every time we had a set piece. A bit frustrating to come so far and see a game like that, hopefully we can entertain more on saturday.

some of those tackles from waltham forest players last night were disgusting, and the constant moaning from them was just annoying. and when forest players appealed for corners when they were a blatant goal kick, ridiculous referring the ref was almost scared of their players. some tackles warrant of red cards, and the playter doesn't even get a ticking off.

Forest never gave the impression of being a threat in front of goal or across any areas of the pitch. We just did not make or take the chances during the game.

Onwards and upwards!

MOM Dale Brightly, for the deflected save in the first half, pure class.

That must have been his 17th or 18th clean sheet, but who is counting.
With such a good team it is difficult to shine above the others, Mrs DTC, thinks that he thourghly deserves it.

small crumbs eh gumpo....you are very strange you little forest people... affig

as most knowledgeable footie folk know too well..the seasons are long and some games are won...some are lost and some are drawn...sometimes a team scores lots of goals in a game and at other times they score none at all....

but overall we have scored more goals than anyone else and conceded less....we are top of the table and lead the pack by a clear eleven points...

business as usual then it seems.... grin

Do I detect a note of glee in your voice Yellow? smile

And there was me thinking you were a "closet" Urchin! laugh

No, not at all. Just correcting FG in stating that you failed to score in two games this season that both happened to be against Harlow.
