This has got to be one of the most skewed threads ever!! The amouint of topics covered from coach travel, to commentary, to the Holocaust, to "Best Fan Ever" debate!! LOL.... I love t'interweb for just this kind of reason!

And, as for 'better fans' - ALL 'Fleet fans come into that category!!

How do you know that Bernard? As David pointed out history is written by the winners everything we learn about the past is distorted by the views of the people who recorded/reported the event.
Propaganda is much easier to implement today than it ever has been, we don't get any less biased views we just get access to more than one sides propaganda.

Your're not telling me that Richard IV didn't exist ? And he didn't have sons called Harry & Edmund ?

I still reckon Sheff Wed won the cup in 1645 though.....with Big Roneth as Lord of the Manor !

And not to forget the great cup win ( non league ) of Gravesham the year following, as found in the parchments scribed by someone who called himself Gareth of Chatham.....must be true ?

Cheers,

NOT, true, you cad!! All those parchments were burnt in the great fire of Grave's End in 1665 started by some wind borne embers from Pudding Lane.

They must be forgeries!!

Historians today examine contemporaneous source materials to try and work out what was actually going on. Granted, that if the original sources are inaccurate to begin with it makes the pursuit of truth very difficult. Until then we had better simply rely upon the evidence. This is that it is easier to comment upon Hitler than Richard III due to technological advances and numerous eye witness accounts.
