without wishing to detract from the 2nd half performance, this does seem to be an area we need to be addressing.

Gary. before commenting , maybe you need to see a game. Granted , we threw this one , but to criticise professionalism or lack of without viewing the game is not acceptable.

Would have taken a draw at half time - we were awful 1st half & Woking were scacely any better. Their goal came from a free kick conceded some 20 or so yards out and Sole hit the shot well over the wall & into the top right corner. There was perhaps a slight question mark over Lance's positioning although the kick was well struck. They only really had 1 other effort on goal, well saved by Lance (the rebound was put well wide) and I dont recall us getting any worthwhile shots on goal.

The first 10 to 15 minutes of the second half saw a slight improvement but the main catalyst for our much improved performance was initially a Keeling ball across the 6 yard box that Sodje looked as though he should have tucked home at the far post.

FRom there on, we could easily have won convincingly - a header hit the inside of the post and rebounded into the keepers hands and 2 efforts were cleared off the line.

In between, Charlie took his chance well after their right back gifted us possession, and when Varney took his chance equally well with 4 minutes left, the game should have been ours with the opposition down to 10. Indeed, Charlie had a chance to finish the game off, but scuffed his effort inches wide on the turn.

We gave the ball away rather too much in the last part of the match & when the ref suddenly decided he had to add 5 minutes (although he only added 2 in the 1st half when there were mmore stoppages), that did for us, as we gave Sole too much space and he hit an unstoppable shot from 25 yards out into the top corner - their only shot of the second half.

It was annoying to lose 2 points in the end - how crucial might they be come the end of the season, but it could have been worse after our performance for much of the 1st hour, and considering we were without Stacy, Slatts, Hawkins, De Bolla & Moore (the latter may hav been left ut anyway I guess after Oxford), its perhaps not as disappointing as it 1st appears. It also says something about the depth of ability at the club - how many times in recent years would we have been hammered without players of the quality of those noted above.

Good to see Keeling last 45 minutes although not quite back to his best as yet, Charlie worked his socks off again & a decent debut from Varney.

103 Fleet fans there officially, but at least 3 more of us came throutgh the Woking section, so at least 106 there in an awful crowd of 851 - how far have Woking fallen - I know it was Champions League tonight, but Woking used to consistently get 1500-2000, so dropping to 851 clearly reflects how their supporters are feeling. DEspite missing out on 3 points tonight, I'd still much rather be in our position now than theirs.

Pressure on now to get 3 points at Kiddy - at least we'll have Slatts, Hawkins and (hopefully) Long and Moore available there (I am guessing De Bolla may need a period of recuperation if its a hamstring problem).

Of course, theres the minor matter of the Northwich Trophy Quarter Final 1st.

Tough calls coming up for Liam in his selections - I would prefer to see Hawkins back to replace Smith (whois probably not quite at Hawkins level as yet)

In midfield Long MUST return -Slatts may well also come back - if both return, I imagine we will be playing narrower again with Ledgister & Coleman dropping out (although many would no doubt suggest Quinn should be left out & either of Coleman or Ledgister retained).

There will still be twists & turns before the end of the season -we will fail to win games we are expecting to win, I guess, & win others we werent so sure about, but then so will others. Whether we do make the play offs or not (and I suspect it will be a borderline call), lets just enjoy it while we can.

Re Riverview supporter, my referral to lack of professionalism was specifically relating to our ability to see off games when we are a goal up and 5 minutes to go.

We MUST win these games by that goal.

Keep possession, go to the corner flags, even waste time - cynical maybe, but these are hallmarks of the top clubs.

Please don't misquote me or take me out of context.

Technically, though, they are 'seeing' the game in so far as they can watch what's going on, whereas riverview was talking about commenting when you haven't viewed the game at all, either in person or on telly.

This will turn into "I'm a better fan than you are" thread.

CG - Fans who have taken the time and effort to travel and watch and support will be phased by comments from a reviewer of a radio programme. Unless you have seen the action live you cannot critique the performance just a radio broadcast.

RR - Some fans cannot get to every game and will take their frustration out at the first point of contact which these days are forums like this. I'm sure CG will have been to games this season just not this one or the last one.

For my part I enjoy going and will get to every game I can as this could be a unique season for Fleet.
