I think the jokes on us! The incompetent buffoon has the security of job that he doesn't have to perform well in? We could be relegated again and he would still have a job?

Steve Browne retires to a cottage in the Country on the pile he made at STFC.

After six months he was really bored of walking, reading, watching Sky, gardening etc etc....

One morning he was walking past the local farm and saw the farmer looking worried. "Anything wrong?" he asked. "Arr" said the farmer, "Joe ain't turned into work today."

"Well, can I help?" asked Steve, "I used to be a Football Manager!"

"OK ," said the farmer, "Can you go out and help Charlie on the Spreader?" "Certainly", said Steve and he spent a reallly good day out helping in the fields helping to load and spray the fields.

The next day he went back. "Joe in today?" he asked.

"No, he ain't" said the farmer "and I've got this big pile of Mangolds and Wurzels to sort out and I've got to go to Market."

"Well, let me have a go," said the Steve.

"OK", said the farmer, "That's a mangold, that's a wurzel - I'll leave it to you!"

When the farmer got back in the evening, Steve was still sitting on a box, with a mangold in one hand and a wurzel in the other and the big pile untouched. "I don't understand it - intelligent chap like you not being able to sort that lot out?"

"Well", says Steve "You must understand, I was a Football Manager - all right at spreading the sh*t, but no good at making decisions!"

1 Steve Brown, the Manager of Slough Town Football Club, can always be found

2 hard at work on the Training field. He works inspiringly, without

3 wasting half time talks to the team and never

4 misses an opportunity to motivate team members, and always

5 ensures that the team plays better in the second half. Often he takes extended

6 measures to complete his work, always avoiding unnecessary

7 absence. Steve is an individual who has absolutely no

8 vanity in spite of his high accomplishments and profound

9 knowledge in his field. I firmly believe that Steve can be

10 classed as a super Manager, the type which cannot be

11 dispensed with. Consequently, I duly recommend that Steve be

12 promoted to Director of Football, and that this proposal be

13 executed as soon as possible.

Please Note:

That idiot was standing over my shoulder while I wrote this report. Kindly re-read only the odd

numbered lines.
