Good work out for the lads, with a stronger than expected squad. Took the opportunity to try a few different combinations at the back with Blewitt playing at LB, Macca and Swaine at CB and Andrew Julius at RB. Up front Allen and Holland started, Allen looked a little rusty but did well until he went off with cramp.

We scored first half, Allen's shot, holland may have got the final touch but as it was going in anyway I think it went down as an Allen goal. Equaliser late on after a mistake in the defence, ball bounced over the head of Laws (I think).

A very useful work out for both sides. It was good to see old friends again and we at Braintree look forward to welcoming you back to Cressing Road for a Conf South fixture next season.

If only it was that simple IW ! All we can do is try, and boy those players,(like yours last season) are trying their best with honest workrates (and if you get that then that is all one can ask)! I think we are certain of not being relegated now though

Good for the players of both sides to get a decent run out as i am sure they prefer that to a spot of training !
