Taking into account recent results and suspensions could be quite an interesting team. So I will start with my thoughts on it:

 

GK - SCS (Need I say more)

 

RB - Greg ( will have to be at his best)

CB - Trotty (Need I say more)

CB - Donovan (I think Pat will be out injured)

LB - Deano (not his best position but need JJ elsewhere)

 

CM - Proths (will need to tackle more)

CM - Jay (we need him more in midfield than at the back)

LM - JJ (this is where he does most damage)

 

S - Pinns

S - Danny

S - Bagley (Deserves to be in after Saturday)

 

Subs: Smith, Wisker (if fit), Mitten, Dolton and Robinson

GK - SCS (shot stopper extrordinare!)

 

RB - GO (needs to overlap more!)

CB - RT (another commanding performance needed!)

CB - JD (needs to be alert, anticipate more!)

LB - DS (needs to play as well as vs carlshalton!)

 

 

RW - AR (needs to take on full-back and cross early!)

CM - LP (stronger in the tackle,simple passes on the deck!)

CM - JS (top all round performance as usual, more shots!)

LW - JJ (needs to ball more, more shots & quality crosses!)

 

STR - JP (terrier-like performance as usual!)

STR - DH (keep getting in the positions & putting chances away!)

 

Although would like to see sesay & pullman on the subs bench to give it more strength, they would make quality super subs to change game it needed!

Whoever plays they must give 110% tonight - we saw what you can do on Saturday and we also saw what can happen when we 'think the game is won'!! Think again - a football game is 90 minutes long if I remember rightly!!!

If you're going to split hair Ian the actual time surely depends on the ref and very rarely are both halves the same length of time

For all the understandable calls for Jay to play in midfield, i just think we wil be crucified for pace at the back unless Jay plays there.Dean to play in midfield to give us bite in midfield

JJ can still overlap with DS to cover for him on those occasions .

Greg to step upfield into wide right with Smith behind him.

I'd play Pinnock deeper still and bring Bagley to partner DH.

 

Assumes of course that Sappleton is not fit

I like the idea of Greg coming up, his crosses are excellent, he can hold the ball up, and the forwards need service from that side.

 

Shame Sesay is out of the frame because he could provide some pace if needed.
