a very poor result and we must win our next 3 home games to have any chance of winning the league.we need a couple of new faces to freshen things up .i believe we have got stale and sloppy.the squad is just not strong enough.

Bit of a dichotomy here-i personally think that the squad is strong enough and does have enough depth (possible exception at centre back if PS is injured).

The problem is that the team are definately not performing to potential-even when we win- i would say that the team could be doing better.

Somehow,RT needs to get more out of the current players.

 

Having said that, i also agree with SSS that we are stale and sloppy,and do therefore need a couple of players to freshen things up.

 

THe question here is, despite getting us where we are, has RT enough contacts to get those couple of players in (MF should be helping)and has an apparent lack of off field leadership from MFC-in particular-not publicly at least -courting any additional sponsorship- resulted in a lack of funds to assist RT accordingly.

 

W did'nt even wake up to the basic of promoting shirt sponsorship this year-and that was a half hearted attempt commenced in late september !!.We have been complacent off pitch aswell imo.

 

We need a higher profile from the main board imo to champion the cause.

 

I do find myself wondering from time to time, if the Board would prefer us to stay in the Ryman ?

Indeed, if we do get promotion-how will we pay for the higher outgoings in conf. south, and in particular travelling costs which would probably be more than double this seasons travelling costs.

 

Is anyone planning for this now ?

Not often one to agree with SSS , but the players know that they are in the team, I would rather the squad was deep enough to know that you have to fight to be in the team

 

With Margate being top of the league-ish you would had thought that sponsorship would be easier to find, as opposed to last year when we were worse on pitch but had more sponsors
